Same problem for me - Second time when looking at transitions HOT Poplar.

I have completed the video with another Transition, exporting as we speak. No problem has produced video OK.

Ver 21.5.3001.0
365

Keith
I am running PDR365 Business 21.0.2031 and my Boris FX asked me to install which I did and they appear to be all working.

Keith
Thanks for the info the settings were in 20, location as described.

Also in 21 but I could not see them in the app.

So going back to to the app:

I had to change Profile type from Default to Custom then I could select the one I wanted.

Ref path to files, it was saving projects but not in my normal location - have sorted that now.

So all is good, thank you once again.

Keith
My projects appeared to have gone but it was just on the update the app used a different location so I got them back in.

Also clicking on My Projects brought them back in as the King indicated.

Keith
New 2022 PD365 version released (v21.0.2113.0)

I've lost my production profiles and paths to files.

Also the program crashed on me.

Not the end of the world.

Working on wetherI can find them or will create again.

Keith
VLC V3.0.16

Thank you. That corrected it.

Keith
Quote Is that the clip you produced from my project or is it the Produced 9_16 clip.mp4

I used the 2 clips you gave. Produced and PXL both did the same.

Presume setting on VLC, but not sure which one. So I use WMP Win 10 which plays fine.

Does the same thing happen with the project I shared?

Yes
My 9:16 play horizontally in VLC but play correctly in WMP Win !0.

Keith
I may be getting somewhere. First I have never done 9:16 with previuos versions.

I have received a quick reply from support:

Graphic Card Drivers - already done

Enable or Disable all options in PowerDirector Preferences-> Hardware Acceleration settings.
OpenCL was Off - Hardware Decoding was on. Both now off. Not sure if that is best way they should be.

Use sample SkateBoard.MP4 video

I was then able to produce a 9:16 video. With color board/title - Still image with pan/zoom - Sample video with crop/zoom/pan and lighting adjustment - A video of my own with same adjustments.

So is the answer as simple as that? Are Hardware Acceleration settings correct?

Keith

UPDATE - The Intel Core i5-4460 supports hardware acceleration of virtualized programs.

You may want to open a support ticket with CL tech support from here.

Done. Thank you.

Keith
Tried another Youtube Short. Programme closed on me three times and was unresponsive. Setting 9:16. I have never tried 9:16 in previous versions.

Just had another go at my normal setting of 16:9 with no problem.

I'll post back once I hear any news from them.

Thank you for the update.

Keith
Thanks for post I was wondering about it causing problems.

I got it but did not instal.

Keith
Ran the scan as suggested - no problem.

Then updated Video Drivers.

I was then able to do a Youtube Short with no problems.

Thanks for help.

Keith
Jeff

365 version now 20.0.2204.0 (64 bit). 16GB Ram.

One day it was all over the place making a 9:16
Program splutters and does not run smoothly.
Has crashed when video clip added.
Becomes unresponsive.

Next day it working for making a 16:9.

What I will do is carry out a test on a 9:16 again and report back.

UPDATE

I have done a Youtube Short 9:16 but used a video which was 16:9 in it so I had to Crop/Zoom. This time I did not have a problem.

But note that I did update the video drivers after I had the problems.

Keith
I have had same sort of issues.

Appears to have calmed down now.

Now have material for a 16:9 video which I will try first to see if I am getting the same issues.
Keith

Have loaded media and been working on project and there appears to be no problems.

I have not followed up on OPTODATA's suggestions yet, but I will be.

I find it strange that trying a Youtube Short 9:16 where I was using crop on a 16: 9 video appears to be the issue.

Reverting to my normal 16:9 and I am back in business.

Keith
Quote Thanks for the details.

Thank you for these ideas which I will follow up on.

Now have material for a 16:9 video which I will try first to see if I am getting the same issues.

Will report back with a result.

Keith
Thanks, here are Dxdiag results:
