I am glad to hear you've solved the problem.
It's pretty annoying when an error occurs and it is not to figure out why.
Maybe it's that there has been a hidden character in the name you gave the first folder - then it goes wrong in several programs.

Both computers are 1½ years old - PC bought with win7 and labtop with win8.1 (terrible os, but could not get it with win7 without great additional cost).
Even though I tried to reset several times without windows having to save anything (a true pure reset), it did not solve the problems.
On both, the problems started associated with the anniversary update. The technician told me it was software error and he installed win10 from a media (CD) from MS. Now both are running Version 1607 build 14393.447 - with no problems, yet  but I have also installed only Norton, Office and ACDSee to now.

Good news  It was also my expectation.
I had previously PDR9 to 13 on a hard disk and only PDR14 on SSD - It worked ok.

You should keep PD9 in my opinion as it has mpeg-1 produce not available in PD14 and PD14 created menus works in PD9 but not vice versa. Don't want to risk win 10 problems as there seem to be too many of them on your pc's already.
 This is a hard one - How to uninstall only a part of PDR?
If I use Revo Uninstaller I think it will uninstall and erase everything connected to the program.
Newblue is not the only thing worth retaining - lot of Titles used on older unfinished projects.
Oh, just recall an older post about Packed Project Materials ... (post 46294) where the conclusion is that neither the PD13 and PD14 are backward compatible when it comes to packed projects containing animated titles (titles without animation is ok), PiP and Particles. Could it mean that I need to have / keep all old PDR versions?
Is there a way (preferably an uncomplicated) to convert older projects PDR14 - without loss of templates, as mentioned above?

Hi,
Once again, I had to reset a Windows 10 PC... Both my PC and labtop  The anniversary update had made the PC unstable with repeated 'blue screen' and update on the labtop continued to fail.  The problems were so big that I had to send both to the 'hospital'.
Perhaps my questions are trivial, but I want to avoid installing more than necessary but also I want to have all the things I had previously. Therefore first some facts.
I have over the years had (at least) PowerDirector 9, 11, 13 Ultra64 and 14 Ultimate.
I have backups of,
- SmartSound - FullSpectrum22k.
- C:\Documents\Cyberlink\... so I have at least the texts I've made in PDR 13 + 14.
- Program Files\Cyberlink\PowerDirector11 + 13 + 14
- Program Files (x86)\Cyberlink\AudioDirector5 + Templates (PDR CP 11 + 13, Creative Design Pack)
- all the mentioned PDR installation files - program and content packs and most of extra programs that came separate together with theese PDR versions.
Together with:
PDR 9 Ultra64: ContentPack_VDE.... + MediaEspresso 6.5
PDR 11 Ultra64: ContentPack_E and _P + Power2Go8 Deluxe
PDR 13 Ultra64: ContentPack_E and _P + AudioDirector 5 Ultra
PDR 14 Ultimate: ContentPack_E and _P + adorage-vol1 + vitascene-2 + Wedding_Pack + Holiday_Pack
But for some programs I have license code can not I find as separate installation files - it is because they are embedded in a PDR version?
They are:
Power2Go9 + PhotoDirector 5 Deluxe + PhotoDirector 7 Ultra + PowerDirector Mobile
In the document where I keep Name of progeams and license code I also hav names of some CL programs that don't need license code eg.
LabelPrint 2.5 Standard + PhotoNow 1.1 + PowerDVD 10 + PhotoDirector 3 (recieved as a gift for something, more than once) +
Power2Go 6.1 LEP
The questions.
How much of all that I have should I install - and in what order so that I can get all Effects, PiPs, Particle, Titles and Transitions from all versions?

The FullSpectrum22k.exe did the job (found it at my backup disk) - but strange that only the SS songs from Full Spectrum dissappears?
I checked my labtop on which I run PDR11 to see if the songs shoud be there, but no. Have to run FullSpectrum22k.exe there as well. - Done.
When open SS it tells me that I must install QuickTime - why?
I remember there once was a post where it was told that QT was not necessary and we were recommended to remove QT since there was a security risk by having QT on the PC.
Also the labtop is upgrated to Win10 this Win10 upgrade, I think, is the worst thing I have done to my PC's - everything runs slower - continues to encounter problems of one kind or another. Even Microsoft can not help and always end by saying Reset your PC. Which I do not think is a good problem solving.
Fortunately, I solved most of these issues (without Reset) by searching the web and hours of hard work.
You are right SmartSound tracks are not included when I pack a project - SS tracks must be a link in the .pds file.
Browsing some af the old packed projects I saw that I in some had produced the SS track as a WAV file. I did that to be able to edit the volume, because sudently it was not posible in the SS track.
You say I can remix the track in SonicFire Pro/Express - sounds as a really good idea!
- Does SonicFire Express comes with PDR? Or is it embedded in PDR?
At Smart Sounds website there is no such thing as Sonicfire Express - only Pro. 6, respectively, Pro and Pro 5.8.
About the YouTube flags, I have become rather accustomed to dispute the claim - I would, however, first make sure that it is SS Music - I could have used music from a CD, which I sometimes do when it is for private use only. As you may know old women do not always remembers so well.
I have experienced that a claim was removed and then shortly after was there again - really strange and annoying.
I remember you recommended me using Vimeo instead of YT and I have created a profile here, but there are some limitations when using the site for free.

Therefore I again seek advises.
I have a lot of older projects, where I used "Pack Project Materials", I want to work with again, but several comes up with the messagebox "Cyberlink PowrDirector will ignore some SmartSound media, because it is not supported in this project."
Exactly as in the mentioned post. And sometimes its also mentioned that a .png or .jpg file is missing eg. travel.png, boom01.png, AsienCruise02 KoSamui Bangkok.jpg, bg_03.png. boom01.png, Water_droplets.png. Witch also is strange because all files used in projects shouls be saved when packing materials.
As far as I understand NagicMusic should be saved together with the packed materials.
The only thing that differs from my last post (1 year ago) is today I run Win10 and PDR14 - that time when I packed some of the projects I runned Win7 and have used several versions of PDR whilw running Win7.
Ofcause I can't remember which version of PDR I used when packing each project - I have had PDR since PDR9.
The main issue here is the missing SmartSound because I again have been tagged with "match third-party content" on several videoes and am sure it is some SmartSound music - but it is not easy to say release the claim when I can ont see in in the projct what music have been used.
And ofcause I would like to have alle the SS tunes that came with PDR.

Longedge is right but I find it easiest to use 'Edit Using Content Aware Editing...'
because here you can 'Select' and 'Deselest' any part of your video clip.
You can choose 'Edit Using Content Aware Editing...' either in the media room or at the timeline by Right-Clicking on the video clip.

Hi,
I use 'Pack Project Material' as both backup and to shelve the project for later editing. Most often on a different disk than the one I'm working on.
How can I include everything that is in the project library / Media Room when I use 'Pack Project Material' without having to place all images and video clips on the timeline?
I'm sure I've read a post which described that it can be done. I have searched the forum but could not find the entry.
Are anybody able to help?

Forgot, yesterday, to tell that when I open the subprojects it is only in the first two projects the thumb nails are shown in the media library.
It did not help to close and open the subproject. (repeatedly).
I have therefore today used 'Pack Projekct Materials' at all subprojects to each their folder and when I open the subproject from the 'packed' folder everything is as it should.
And more interesting - There are no immediate long wait by changing the duration and deletion.
I think it's strange - I can not believe that there is apparently 'Pack Pro ...' which fixed my problem. At least in the case of the subprojects.
After this observation, I tried the same with the original project, with the result that split-delete works ok but changing the duration still takes a long time.
Therefore I choose no uninstall and install.
The next hurdle is then to gather all the material again.
Just for information my nvidea driver is still the same, Driver Version: 21.21.13.7270.

My pictures are respectively 4896x2752 and 5184x2920 most of them are the smallest format.
I enclose Media Info for a video.
It is actually the same sizes and formats I've used for a long time without problems during Win7
Although I've tried to do the same as you I do not get the same good resultet.
I have divided the project into 6 subprojects to see if it could help, but it does not.
I have also noticed that when I save projects the message box and shows 100% for a very long time.
I think I will have to uninstall PDR and install it onto SSD like you have.
In connection with this, I have some questions, but it comes in a new thread.

I also had this performance issue in Win10 before the Anniversary Update.
I have read the post your are refering to.
I don't have GEForce Experience installed.
I didn't install it after turning to Win10. As mentioned earlier my driver is updated and haven't been rolled back.
Just updated nvidia to day. Release Date Tue Aug 30, 2016 - Version 372.70 - WHQL
Opened the project it seem that delete and changing duration now are approx 1 sec faster than before, so it's better but not perfect.
The thing is too when I make these things and there is waiting time, I doubt whether I have hit the keys or not.

Hello again,
To reset the Windows 10 is one of the worst I've been doing on my PC.
The only positive thing that has come out of it is that I have been able to update the nvidia driver.
Although I run jubilee update the driver has not been rolled back like Tony said in another thread that his had been.
I'm still working to get installed my required applications. Hard work.
And ( swear words ) it has not solved the PDR performance issues.
It still takes several seconds to delete the part of a splitted video clip and it still takes several seconds of waiting when I change the duration of one or more images.
I wonder if it might be due to the project size or some of the editing stuff I've already made - although it seems unlikely because I have already had major projects with much more editing without it has caused problems.
The project has 606 files of which only 9 are video clips. The video clips have a total duration of 11 minutes.
At present there has been no heavy editing - there is added fade transition in less of a third of the project, added text boxes some of them made with NewBlue and added 15 photos in lower/higher track.
All video clips have been edited and produced in another project before being imported into this project.
Until now I only used Magic Motion on 23 images.
I owe to mention that I created a new project with all the 606 files included in the troubled project (I did no editing as MM, text and additional tracks) - here there is no performance problems by simply duration change and delete.
As usual, I enclose Dxdiag, which I do not understand much of. But maybe there is one of you can see if problems are caused by something other than PDR.
ha, ha  while I write this, I went into the project to find out the name of text plugin (NewBlue) ... and now Text room shows thumbnail images from the project or nothing. To shut down and restart PDR got the right thumbnails back.
What on earth is happening here?
