I looked for language packs but they stop at PowerDVD 9.
I can play Blu-rays okay, but NOTHING in any menu is legible............. obviously.
ANY ADVICE?
Did you buy a drive that only sold in Japan from your local vendor, or online shop overseas?
It is not surprising that it will be shipped with free software, which is in Japanese version.
Go to buy a retail version powerdvd for multilanguage support.
yes where dod u purchase this?

Hello
My issue is - PowerDVD - Failure Issues after Windows 10 OS - Error code 0122 & Unable to Support MPEG-2 - No Work
Possible Version 13? Computer purchased October 2013
Purchased new HP Envy Latops from HP w/BluRay player installed and preloaded software = PowerDVD
Here's the full scoop:
<p style="margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;">I purchased 2 Envy laptop computers from HP that were built
to Spec. I ordered them both with the HP
Blue Ray disc compatible player for each one.
Initially, both computers played the Blue Ray discs just fine. Later
both computers upgraded from OS 8.1 to OS 10 in an offer from Microsoft. Now one computer continues to operate using
your PowerDVD product just fine, but the other computer experienced a Blue
Screen failure and lock up and with the help of MS Tech's I had to reload the
Windows 10 OS. Here's the problem, after
the reload of the OS I no longer had PowerDVD installed as a program on my
laptop. I contacted MS Tech support
again and they told me to contact HP Support.
Unable to get help from HP, I went to the HP User group and they were
unable to help me. Today, from the
computer with no issues, the other of the pair of HP Envy's that I bought at
the same time, I copied the Cyberlink PowerDVD application program from the
good computer using an outboard hard drive to copy and then transfer the PowerDVD
program. I ran the application program
and it all appeared to install fine, and then rebooted the system. Then I loaded a DVD and the PowerDVD program
came up, but failed to run the DVD, either in standard DVD format, or in Blue
Ray format. I received a couple of
messages, first Code = 0122, and then later after rebooting and attempting
again, that MPEG-2 was not supported.
The playbox control panel comes up and it loads the name of the movie,
but will not play it and I get the same error messages. It also direct me to an
opportunity to do an Upgrade for $54.95, but not telling me if that will even
resolve my problems. I seems to me that
I should be able to get it to play and work as the other computer does at no
charge, as the computer initially came with the PowerDVD program preloaded
right from HP when it was new... Can
anybody tell me what the issue is and how to resolve it?
<p style="margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;">Would Really appreciate any help to get the Blue Ray player working
<p style="margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;">How can you say you are entitled to have a working copy since you upgraded the computer. Powerdvd didn't make you do it. It is crazy to expect these companies to support a dying or dead os format. Revert back to 8.1 or pay the fee to upgrade. This is coming from an outside source who doesn' work for Powerdvd. Just an opinion. Hope you don't take it too hard. Btw If you upgrade or install a new version and it doesn' t work, Powerdvd offers a refund.

Your PowerDVD 14 is probably an OEM version of the software so it may not have all the bells and whistles that the full commercial version has.
As for PowerDVD 17, your computer is below the minimum specs. You need at least an i5 so the update is moot.
Isn't the minimum specs for seventh gen i5 or better?
If that' the case my i3 is 8100 which is equivalent to the i7 7th gen according to benchmarks.
No, it is in the internal of the i3 vs i5 such as the bus/number of .... Sorry, perhaps you can look up the differences. Cyberlink would have put an allowance for i3 if it would have worked.
You have just proved that it doesn't.
Well if there is an update after Oct when I posted this maybe it will work. I' just not willing to try it again because a) I have it working through power dvd 14, and I have a xbox x. Both play uhd and pass thru dolby atmos. Thank you for your time and help.

Hi mikehin,
Please contact directly our technical support.

Why is there a fix to power dvd 17 now for uhd?

This problem doesn't resolved with new Updates PowerDVD 17 to build 2316
I have gotten no sound on all the Ultra HD discs by Sony that I have tried to playback
Very odd. I have the 13 8100 asrock fatality itx board and it worked for me. I reverted back to Pdvd 14 with hd playback that came with my pioneer Blueray player because it is a full legit copy. DO you have intel audio installed or asrock? Asrocks audio drivers dont support Atmos as far as I know. So you will want to install the latest intel drivers. Also make sure you have all the latest intel drivers which im sure you have because you are at least able to run the video. Make sure color option is checked on your tv if its samsung.

Hi all,
this is definitely a cyberlink issue and not ASRock as HDR is working fine with native Windows player in the last Windows 10 update.
Also the problem affects Intel NUCs too.
Here is the fix as I receiveid no satisfying answer from cyberlink support :
Cyberlink has advised us to try the following temporary
1. Get the CLADR.zip from the following link
https://1drv.ms/u/s!Akg407Jlpix9oGWyUGxKvVPXJF15[/size]
2. Unzip the CLADR.zip, then replace the CLADR.ax file in the following path (based on PowerDVD 17 Ultra):
C:\Program Files (x86)\CyberLink\PowerDVD17\Common\
3. There is a side effect that the volume would be set to 0 everytime PowerDVD switches to exclusive mode to play UHD BD. Please adjust the volume to play the sound.
Did not help me. Still no pass through of ATMOS to my Samsung HW-K950 Sound Bar
I don't think powerdvd supports Dolby ATMOS passthrough or playback.
It does not regard this HDR audio problem.
Hoe do you day they don't support it? Works fine once that cladrx file is placed in the right section. It' a work around but at least it solves an issue tIL they get hdr straightened out.

I know there are few Z270 motherboards with HDMI 2.0 but I wasn't sure if it also supports HDR.
Does it have to be HDMI 2.0a in motherboard? in order to support HDR?
If so, could you point me to one that is z270 motherboard with 4k + HDR support?
Follow the link in my signature.
yeP that is the one I was talking about

Hello again!
Thanks for the help! I can also confirm that it seems to work ok with the fix.
I have had some crashes when switching from fullscreen (HDR) to windowed mode (did not happen before the fix) but it is much better to have sound
/Johan
I don't have that issue but I am not running full hdr either. I will have to see when I get my z370 fatality board to see if this occurs.
wouldn't mind a PM also if possible please
Hi, I dont know if this will do anything but I have As Rock Looking into this problem. WIthout having any info from you Motherboardboard using, bios number, what version of windows and Powerdvd etc, they wont know which boards needs to be addressed. At this stage we dont know if it an Asrock issue or a POWERDVD issue but my gut tells me its a As rock issue since the original download for the cladr.ax file supposedly came from ASRock's HQ.
So could you post this stuff so it will help all involved. Thx

The complaint from the program claims it's because I have two monitors. However, if I remove one monitor completely, PowerDVD 17 still won't play a blu-ray. It has no problem with normal DVDs. It used to play blu-rays and then one day it just stopped. It won't even play blu-rays that it played before.
From what I just read on another thread you need to run it in extended mode. Do a search for dual monitors and you'll find a possible solution to your issue. Worth a try at least. I was going to copy and paste the solution but I can't copy and paste for some odd reason from my phone.
Hi Mike,
I followed your suggestion and while the response didn't solve my problem, it set me thinking in the right direction. It turns out my monitors were set for generic which caused my graphics card to get confused and not configure correctly. Once that was fixed, I can now run Blu-ray movies again. That explains why it used to work but stopped working. Somewhere along the lines a couple months ago something got crossed up and I didn't correlate because it was probably a week later before I tried to watch a Blu-ray.
Thanks for the help.
Your welcome.

A few more things are needed in order to suggest you a board or point you in the right direction. What size MB are you looking for.
A few notes to look for.
Hdmi 2.0a is a must for HDR. That includes everything you hook it up to including the receiver or TV and everything in between.
Hdcp 2.2 compliant. Again Everything needs to be compliant
The board has to run from integrated graphics from the cpu. I'm sure this will change in the future but for now it simply won't work.
I have a mini itx from Asrock called the Asrock z370m itx- ac and it does everything except it won't pass HDR on the advisor because it is hdmi 1.4. The wording on the sites can be confusing. This board will do 4k at 30fps. This tells you pretty much it is on 1.4 hdmi and not 2.0a. If it says does 4k @60fps over hdmi then it's a good chance it will be 2.2 hdcp and 2.0a compliant. With that said, this board is going back and I bought the Asrock fatality z370 overpriced board.
Stay away from MSI. I believe all their boards are still 1.4 from what I have read.
Good luck and keep us up to date.
Hey thanks for the information, I was planning to build regular ATX board build, however, so far all the ATX board with hdmi 2.0 are over $400
Only affordable one was ASROCK z270 mitx/ac for my i7 7700k Kaby Lake.
1. So ultimately, I would like to know if there are any sub $200 USD z270 board that would support HDMI 2.0a or 2.0 at least for my I7 7700k CPU preferrably ATX but open to small form factor as well.
2. Also if you ASROCK z370 is doing 4k @ 30fps, wouldn't ASROCK z270 be the same case?
Best scenario would be something with ATX with HDMI 2.0a so I can use HDR to my LG OLED tv but I am flexible as long as it has HDMI 2.0a and somewhat affordable.
Do a search on here about boards working with uhd. Your I'll come across a site dedicated to all things bluray. Pretty good site. You will find what you are looking for

Hello!
I also have the same problem. No audio when switching to HDR... I'm running Asrock ASRock Fatal1ty Z270 Gaming-ITX with i7-7700 CPU using the internal 630 GPU. It never works with latest Intel drivers but it has worked a few times with older Intel drivers from this spring but extremely unreliable.
Where can I get the CLADR.ax file? I would like to test it.

I have installed this from a bundle from my pioneer uhd internal player.
I get no sound or drop down for audio in the settings. I have patched it to the latest as well and still no drop down. I was able to get audio but still there was no audio so that means the pc is doing the work which I don't want. I upgraded to 17 and still didn't get audio. A solution from As rock mentioned in the PowerDVD 17 forum helped with audio here. I tried to o the same thing after uninstalling 17 and reinstalling 14 again. I gwt all kinds of errors after playback is done, and still no control over the audio setting. However, I just paid money for a bundled blu-ray player and I would like to get that working so I'm not just wasting 60 bucks.
Has anyone gotten this to work for uhd playback disks.
Running 64 bit windows 10 pro
Asrock z370m itx/ac mb
I3 8100 cpu
Latest drivers from Intel

Have you tried rebooting with the one monitor completely removed from the system. From the control panel etc?
I know this sounds like a work around and it seems it need's to be fixed.Sounds like something to stop pirating.

ASRock TaiChi Z270, i5-7600T, Pioneer BDR-211M. I have reinstalled "Intel Management Software" over and over including the version on the ASRock website. Hard to find an HDMI version reading on this board but I saw one post claiming success with HDMI 2.0 and Ultra-HD bluray.
I'm getting NO SGX AVAIALBLE (which is turned ENABLED in the BIOS) INtel Management Software not running, and display not HDR (I have a cable running directly into my LG 65E6P also tried through my Pioneer AC-95 receiver.)
I have an as-rock board as well. (as rock z370m itx /ac ) Their customer support lied to me and said it had everything I wanted in the board
has sgx in bios -Check
has 2.0a hdmi - Check UM NOPE
has 2.2 hdcp _ check UM NOPE
Turns out it only has the sgx in the bios to enable. However as one customer service rep thru email stated it does do 4k at 30htz. He pointed out that this is not 2.0a. My reply was how should I know? I asked your support reps at newegg.com and at their website and they pointed me to this board.
IT is ashame how untrained these reps are in the boards they help people with.
Turns out I need the gaming fatality board which does everything at 60htz. UGH!!! Pulling my hair out!
With that said. I was able to get it to run with intel ME and sgx. Goto their website and download this. I had to download one more item called PSW. But it was automatically installed when I ran this stuff.

So I have a copy of power dvd 14 uhdbd playback that came with the pioneer bluray player. I am running Windows 10 pro 64bit. I have successfully passed the power dvd advisor except for uhd playback which is not a concern since I now know as rock duped me into buying this motherboard. (As rock z370m itx /ac) That is another story though.I am running ssd and i3 8100 coffee lake cpu.
I couldn't get powerdvd to run so I bought a copy of power 17 upgrade. However I couldn't get the sound to play. Rebooted, turned off/on everything. So I deleted everything and reinstalled power dvd 14 and low and behold everything worked after a few popups.
Here is where the problem occurred. While I was running the movie, I turned off the tv on accident. When I turned it back on it must have lost the hdcp connection. Audio played in the background bUT video dis played a piracy video. So I turned everything back off and on and now sound won't playback. I'm sure I can delete and reinstall but clearly this will happen again when I change inputs or a mistake happens.
Does anyone have experience with this?
