My issue is - PowerDVD - Failure Issues after Windows 10 OS - Error code 0122 & Unable to Support MPEG-2 - No Work

Purchased new HP Envy Latops from HP w/BluRay player installed and preloaded software = PowerDVD
Here's the full scoop:

to Spec. I ordered them both with the HP
Blue Ray disc compatible player for each one.
Initially, both computers played the Blue Ray discs just fine. Later
both computers upgraded from OS 8.1 to OS 10 in an offer from Microsoft. Now one computer continues to operate using
your PowerDVD product just fine, but the other computer experienced a Blue
Screen failure and lock up and with the help of MS Tech's I had to reload the
Windows 10 OS. Here's the problem, after
the reload of the OS I no longer had PowerDVD installed as a program on my
laptop. I contacted MS Tech support
again and they told me to contact HP Support.
Unable to get help from HP, I went to the HP User group and they were
unable to help me. Today, from the
computer with no issues, the other of the pair of HP Envy's that I bought at
the same time, I copied the Cyberlink PowerDVD application program from the
good computer using an outboard hard drive to copy and then transfer the PowerDVD
program. I ran the application program
and it all appeared to install fine, and then rebooted the system. Then I loaded a DVD and the PowerDVD program
came up, but failed to run the DVD, either in standard DVD format, or in Blue
Ray format. I received a couple of
messages, first Code = 0122, and then later after rebooting and attempting
again, that MPEG-2 was not supported.
The playbox control panel comes up and it loads the name of the movie,
but will not play it and I get the same error messages. It also direct me to an
opportunity to do an Upgrade for $54.95, but not telling me if that will even
resolve my problems. I seems to me that
I should be able to get it to play and work as the other computer does at no
charge, as the computer initially came with the PowerDVD program preloaded
right from HP when it was new... Can
anybody tell me what the issue is and how to resolve it?

<p style="margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;">How can you say you are entitled to have a working copy since you upgraded the computer. Powerdvd didn't make you do it. It is crazy to expect these companies to support a dying or dead os format. Revert back to 8.1 or pay the fee to upgrade. This is coming from an outside source who doesn' work for Powerdvd. Just an opinion. Hope you don't take it too hard. Btw If you upgrade or install a new version and it doesn' t work, Powerdvd offers a refund.

Like I said, I had two computers purchased at the same time with the PowerDVD software loaded in.
Now one of them still has the working product, and the other does not.
Both went through voluntary OS 10 upgrades, and the PowerDVD SW continued to work.
Later one of the computers 'Blue Screened 'out and required another OS 10 reload, now it does not work.
So with one still working, and the other not working you believe I need to pay for the Upgrade to get it to work?

I'm pretty sure that HP paid for the PowerDVD software that was installed originally, and then I purchased the computers that had the paid for PDVD software loaded in, and now due to tech difficulties you beleive I need to pay for the upgrade?
Agqain...Really?
I'm thinking CyberLink got their liecense fee in the original agrrangement with HP, and so whats the problem with a little assist to get it working again?
It worked and now it does not, and I'm just loking for a little assistance to get it running again.
