So I have a copy of power dvd 14 uhdbd playback that came with the pioneer bluray player. I am running Windows 10 pro 64bit. I have successfully passed the power dvd advisor except for uhd playback which is not a concern since I now know as rock duped me into buying this motherboard. (As rock z370m itx /ac) That is another story though.I am running ssd and i3 8100 coffee lake cpu.

I couldn't get powerdvd to run so I bought a copy of power 17 upgrade. However I couldn't get the sound to play. Rebooted, turned off/on everything. So I deleted everything and reinstalled power dvd 14 and low and behold everything worked after a few popups.

Here is where the problem occurred. While I was running the movie, I turned off the tv on accident. When I turned it back on it must have lost the hdcp connection. Audio played in the background bUT video dis played a piracy video. So I turned everything back off and on and now sound won't playback. I'm sure I can delete and reinstall but clearly this will happen again when I change inputs or a mistake happens.

Does anyone have experience with this?
I am having the same issue with

asrock Z370m itx / ac and I3 8100 CPU. HDMI connected to a pioneer Atmos receiver PowerDvd 17 will not play UHD audio after upgrade from Powerdvd 14 UHD playback version

When I uninstall everything, Install Power DVD 14, it works again. However, my tv was turned off on accident and it has seemed to break the HDCP Chain and now I cant get audio back.

I have also posted this in the Power dvd other version forum.
