ALL -- I have to admit, I'm almost fed up with the Cyberlink 'mess' I've experienced ! This latest one is probably something that can be reversed, but maybe not.

After working several hours on a panorama project, I've go an image that was moved/cut in 1/2 or something and I am unable to reverse what has occured. PhotoDirector has been acting very odd/strange lately, so I have purposely saved often. I had just completed the 2d round of color edits to a large file and successfully saved the image. I took a short break, came back opened PD7, opened the file (verifying the latest edits had been collected. Opened the layers tab and the picture immediately went to the image attached. I attempted to exit without saving after the UNDO command would not work, but the file saved (same name) the unwanted version.

Any tips, suggestions, fixes???

Very frustrated !!
Pepsi Man - I've turned all of the options off / on to include combinations of . . . I'm thinking 'now' that is something to do with the color grading steps. Each clip has significant color grading . . . so I made go back to square one and start again.

Do you edit (color) of each clip as you go . . . or is there a means to get ALL clips aligned near the final stages, then color grade ALL ? (MAY not work for me in this situation due to lighting issues) I've seen the steps to create a PRESET so that maybe the option to get into a near final color grade then tune from there???

Thx again for the reply ~
Looking for help. I've mentioned a few times of how PD14 seems to be "hanging on me" when using features such as layers, transitions and in this case speed changes. No doubt its getting worse of late. (BTW, verified NVIDIA drivers are all up to date)

https://youtu.be/EaCQJtK4fOM

This video was produced overnight and to be honest -- I don't know if it blinks like this in PD14 as I can't view anything before producing. Even in LOW setting, pressing play to review the project is useless. This 1 min vid takes about 4 min's to view and the audio finishes 3 min's sooner. In 4k --- forget it.

Here is background on the video: ALL shot in 4k/24 FPS, all shot with same camera. Clips are of different length and the speed adjustments in the clips all vary in how much speed was added. (none are slowed down) Where the worst blinks are visible are clips with the fastest increase in speed, so my assumption is processing is the problem. This 1 min. clip took about 3.5 hours to process and from the forums I believe my settings should be a very safe to make 4k output. (this particular clip was sent straight to youtube, so I just chose 4k) [Transitions are from SET ALL drop down as "Overlap Transition"]

Any Tips or Suggestions? Even though I'm making this for a friend, NOT as a commercial transaction, I want this to look good for them, so I'd like to clean it up and be as smooth as I can.
Pix - thx for the reply. I normally export and do not recall if the SAVE AS has the same issue, so I'll try that - thx for the tip!

I never had any issues until lately, so I wonder if its a compatibility issue with WIN10 push or possibly some other driver? I dont recall receiving any updates to PD7.

Kind regards

mine has also started crashing when working layers . . . spinning wheel at bottom just says Loading or Saving dependant on where I'm at in the Layer work.

Just started doing this recently. Any ideas?
Thank you . . . I suspect I caused the issue when I was doing some "Action Camera" edits . . . oh well. I sincerely appreciate your time trying to help find a solution. From the screen shot and diagram above you confirmed what I was thinking was off "Basically, certain clips have seemed to be reduced in size (height noticeable) compared to other clips in the video. "

Start over seems to be the most appealing option
ok --- a BIT more information. Any Video I put in the timeline now does it! I've jacked up something in the settings I suspect. Does having still photo's in a timeline that are of different size format cause an issue?
Tom --- appreciate the reply. Is there a way to change Heigth / Width back to native? The only thing I can remember doing when I noticed the issue, I had used some of the tools (motion tracker / action camera center) so maybe I did it then???

This screen shows ALL clips (vice one used in intro) as the same size.
kmjk333 - no sir . . . thats not what I was after.

YNotFish / Tony - the originals are 16:9. This is on a DJI Phantom 3 - Professional ( http://www.dji.com/product/phantom-3-pro/info )
Thank you for quick reply. I'm familiar with that drop down and thats a seperate topic why my computer seems to go into a "don't have enough memory" mode I often lower the viewing scale . . . then I end up rebooting or let it cool down. But I digress

I apologize for the less than thorough description above. Basically, certain clips have seemed to be reduced in size (height noticeable) compared to other clips in the video. I've already produced the video and its VERY evident, something is amiss. Quickly scanning the project I notice the slight size difference and they only other thing I notice is that most of the affected clips have a "TOOLS" adjustment.

I have saved projects with multiple versions (someone recommended that in a video) in order to go back to previous versions for issues such as this -- but this time I did NOT ! [lesson learned !] At this point, I believe I have to restart the project. Atleast I know how I want the scenes arrayed.

Thank you again for trying to assist !
I've been looking at the forum to solve an issue I discovered from a recent project.

It appears at one point I resized a video (not purposely) that I had made into several clips on the timeline. Subsequently when the video shows, all clips form it are now poor quality (very poor) -- as if the height was compressed. I'm not positive, but it also looks like several other clips were also affected from another video that was in the timeline at the same time. Videos that I'm confident were added to the timeline well afterwards appear fine.

Is there a feature that I can press/use to make ALL clips return to full size or original? Or do I have to go back and attempt to make the clips again?

Thx

dc

P.S. when I view the video file in the preview from library it looks great . . . IF I pull that same video down into the workflow area, it immediately loses the quality.
Alex - I'm experiencing it as well . . plus poor quality render
