I decided to try the sky replacement feature in powerdirector 365 It looked good and clicked on transform video and i could see it in the preview fine But as soon as I go back to watch the whole video it goes back to the original sky. I have tried it over and over with the same results. Any idea why this is happening? Am I missing a step? I have watched the tutorial and can't see what I could be doing wrong.

Sorry you're having trouble, and that doesn't sound like what should be happening with a new computer.
Do you have the same problems when opening up older projects you created in PD18? Do you notice problems when you try to make a specific kind of edit, or when you use particular clips?
Even though it's a new computer, it would help to see which drivers are installed and how your system is configured.
Please follow the steps in the Read Me Before Posting guide and attach the DxDiag results. Can you also confirm that PD365's full version numberis 19.1.2321.0?
I made 3 projects before this one and things seemed fine. This one took about 10 minutes to import the video clips which surprised me but I was able to get about half way through the project before it became a really noticeable problem it is pretty much unusable now. the preview is choppy and stops completely at times. Anything I try to do takes long enough that i will walk away and do ohter things hoping it is done by the time I get back. Yes I checked the version number and it is the same as what you mentioned

I just got a new computer and decided to try out pd 365 and editied a few videos fine but suddenly it is painfully slow and laggy and crashes frequently. Has anyone else run into this? I am now regretting my purchase and wonder if i should just go back to Pd 18

I make a lot of highlight videos of different events and have the most trouble with the music. Even once I choose the music I don't really know how to sync it with my video. Any tutorial I watch seems to imply that i need to choose the music first and add the markers and then do the video but I can't think that way. I need to make the video first. Any advice on syncing music with a video?

This seems very basic but I can't figure out how to do it. I used to use Sony and this just seemed to happen so easily. When I change something and there is a gap I seem to have to move all the clips one by one and it takes forever as I have to do it with each change. If I highlight them all and try to move them it won't let me crossfade unless I do one at a time. I am sure this must be doable could somebody please help me.

I am having trouble making a decision here. I for sure want to get Ultimate but then feel drawn to the idea of having colordirector. I can't decide if it is worth the extra $90. Not sure if I will use it as a new user will it be hard for me to learn? Will I regret not buying it? I am really excited to make a purchase the only thing holding me back is that ultimate vs ultimate suite decision and concerns of not having a powerful enough computer. Anybody have colordirector and have any opinions on whether I really need this or not?

Thanks so much!! It worked. I did it. It was easy too. I really appreaciate that so much. Now I will play around and see what else I can figure out. Maybe a basic pan and zoom will be doable Yay!!

Thanks for the link. I think I have a great desire to do video editing but my mind just does not seem able to grasp some of this stuff. I can't seem to find a video that says to do a basic key frame go here and do this and have it look just like my workspace does. I wish there was a keyframe course somewhere that would walk me through it. Maybe I will see if I can find somebody to watch the tutorials for me and then teach me, maybe that will work. The sad thing is I know what a key frame is and how essential it is to video editing just dont know how to find where to put them to get them to do what I want or even how to put them anywhere. I have been trying and trying to get a basic zoom and can't even figure that out. I wonder if I would be better to go back to movie studio as I actually could work keyframes a little bit there. I hope to figure this out before my trial runs out. I wonder if I can renew a trial.

I have been reading reviews and information about a few different video editing programs and have pretty much decided on Powerdirecter 13. I am having a lot of trouble figuring out how to use keyframes though. One thing I was trying to do was start with a normal photo and change to pencil sketch 2 by the end and I cannot figure it out. It is starting to hurt my brain and I feel like I have spent hours on it. Any suggestions? Today is the last day of my trial.
