The link to that tutorial is for PD12 Theme Designer FloatingFrames which does not exist in any version of PD including the Ultimate versions that I could find. The closest is Picture Frames. You opened PD16 Theme Designer Wedding Album in which the interface is different from PD12. You got it working okay.
If you drag and drop a video clip on the placeholder, then hover the mouse cursor over the placeholder and you will see a mute button and a trim button to shorten the video.
If you drag and drop an image on the placeholder, then hover the mouse cursor over the placeholder and you will see a duration button that allows you to click on it and set the duration.

Hi all

I am trying to work out how i can change effects on any picture and or duration...

Hi all
I love the slideshow creator but I need to explore how to tweak the output
I need to be able after I have selected type and previewed and moved the output onto a timeline for advanced editing
to vary the duration of individual photos.
I need to do this so that certain photos using the Motion effect do not disappear so quickly and stays the focus of the viewer
hope someone can help... if i double click the timeline that just takes all photos back to slideshow creator... right clicking over a particular photo seems to only offer me blending options
please help

hi all
my eyesight is unbelievably bad....
i am inserting images on one timeline and text into another timeline...
sometimes as i drag an image onto the timeline i cant quite get it exactly next to the previous one...
and so the text associated with it starts out of sync
is there any way i can set each image or text block to start at an exact time??

Have you checked that your audio level isnt too high? Try reducing the level in Power Director and see if it makes a difference.

Highlight the clip that has the noise problem. You can then use WaveEditor in Edit Audio or Audio Denoise in Fix/Enhance to reduce the audio noise.

Many on this site who don't have Audio Director use the free download of Audacity, available here:

I like it because it is fairly intuitive and has good help available (in fact, the help window opens when you open the software).

i am trying to 'blend' a snow particle into a video... i dont quite know how to do it though... i put each on the timeline but only see one timeline... when i play the movie... can anyone help please....

hi all hope you can help
ive searched and cannot find anything.. i selected the capture tab managed to switch camera on my surface pro tablet and switch to front camera but cannot figure out how you see how much you are recording or how to start and stop and what the various controls mean... is there a how to use tutorial for all the features and or guide...
also quite seperate... my eyesight is poor... is there any way i can enlarge the app space so that i can see the controls....

Actually, that's quite an odd "title" template since it doesn't contain a title of any effects. The maker has uploaded 4500+ effects. Quantity up - quality down.

Thanks Tony... you are a star... as a mater of interest how do you edit these templates... I downloaded one a while back which was a superb New Year title but never used it and would like to just change the 2016 to 2017....

I suspect what's happening is that you have your project set to 16:9. The template you linked is a 4:3 template and will only appear in a 4:3 project.
If you switch your project to 4:3, it will probably be available.

as a matter of interest what is the difference? ... in the two settings I mean.... is one a UK Europe standard and other US?
visually I cannot tell... and virtually all my output goes to my Youtube channel....

Ive been creating youtube videos for a while and posting the watch link onto facebook.... suddenly i am getting these errors when anyone tries to watch them
i have always created 2k to 4k definition and a link suggested i adjust the quality down on youtube but ive done this and still have problems

I am making examples of videos I can produce for other folk (as a new business venture) and loving the express projects...
but quite right, as soon as you place a snippet on the timeline images are replaced by 1 2 3... and sound vanishes...
is there any way of keeping the demo material in place and just editing the text???
