The Moderator was not wrong. You didn’t tell him that you wanted to do subtitles on a 195.5 minute video in your previous post. Use an online bitrate calculator and you will find that producing a mpeg-2 file at a Video bitrate of 4000 Kbps and LCPM audio of 1500 Kbps will fit that DVD DL disc in your PD18. Use a custom profile.

In PD18, all you have to do is disable the subtitle track before producing. Put the Produced file butt up at the end of the last clip. Delete everything in front of the Produced file. The created chapters should line up perfectly. Re-enable the subtitle track and check Create a folder in the Final output window and click Start burning. You can then play the folder as a DVD with VLC or PowerDVD. If everything is fine then you can burn that folder with Power2Go or use PowerDirector or Windows to burn to a DVD DL disc. The folder should be between 8 to 8.5 GB in size depending on the menu used.

This is the first time you will attempt to do this so many mistakes may be made along the way. You should add a suffix to each major change and do a save as on the project file so you have backups along the way until you master it. This is the way I do discs.

Hope this help you create the first DVD that you want.
Quote IPicture shows small closeups of the same frame obtained by Snapshot, Freeze frame and Produce sequence of JPG methods.

Those are not my findings at all. 6 months ago it was shown that 4k uhd true 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution snapshots can be achieved in PD20/365 timeline by temporarily selecting the Ultra HD Resolution Preview Quality. This is not an issue at all using my pc with Intel graphics at the moment.

I searched for a 4K/8K video resolution test chart for modern cameras. PDF image resolution charts are available. This is the ISO_12233-reschart.pdf found on the internet. Extracted the image. It is a 4724 x 2593 pixels resolution png. Believe that this is the chart used by Imaging-Resource years ago for testing up to 4K cameras.

Placed the test chart on the latest PD365/21 timeline. Took Snapshots at High(720 x 480). HD(1280 x 720). Full HD(1920 x 1080), and Ultra HD(3840 x 2160) Preview Quality settings.

See the screenshots. It looks like that Freeze Frame can be used but is not tested here and is not necessary at all. Shadow files are not enabled and/or tested. Found that setting the preview quality from High through Full HD resolution produced the 1920 x 1080 default image acknowledged by CyberLink. The PD365/21 3840 x 2160 screenshot shows 2x more horizontal details and 2x more vertical details than the default resolution snapshots for the other resolutions on my pc.
Quote My power director 19 new blue titler 1.5 stopped working without a water mark on it.

You posted in the PD19 forum. It should work with the included Titler Pro 1.5 unless you upgrade to PD20 or later or PD365. The Titler Pro 7 works as a standalone. You may want to look at the PD365 Title offerings created in the last few years.
It is possible that the OP did not explain the situation correctly. If he/she means that the camera recording is broken up every say 2/4 GB consecutive segment in size in a continuous recording that last hours. There will be a brief silence between each clip. That brief silence can be removed using a different method.

Best to format the memory card as stated in the camera manual to keep this from happening if using a professional camera.

The OP needs to explain this in detail or state which camera and model number is being used, type of recording, amount of recording, etc. to get proper help.
I believe that those 107 custom titles from PD15 are compatible in PD21 but they won’t be seen in or above PD17 in the way they are stored in the My Titles folder. Cyberlink support may know a better solution.
This is good troubleshooting that would help others that encounter the same issue. Maybe you can let support know what you found so they may be able to help someone else.
I would put the sd 4:3 ar content in a 16:9 ar frame and produce it at the final resolution and format chosen but reduce the bitrate to 8 Mbps. This way you can save the space wanted. For example, I used 1080/60p(28 Mbps) settings almost all the time. You can bring back this produced footage to the timeline and add the chapters and you will save the space. This works along with the HD footage that will be rendered at the 28 Mbps. I create 6 to 10 hr. BD in a similar way.
Quote I can open them in PDR 15 on my old laptop and they work there.

It is unlikely that Dstick1 will be successful in finding a solution to his custom title transfer. In his first post he did not state that PD21 and PD15 were on different computers. On my pc, I found that PD12 custom titles appear in PD14, PD15, but not in PD17. There is no need to copy the My Titles from one version to the other. There are enough changes in the version 17 to make it incompatible.

Custom titles created in PD17 do show up in PD20/21/365 and again there is no need to copy the My Titles from one version to the other.

He did indicate Title_107 so it means that he may have at least 107 custom titles in PD15. He could do his projects in PD15, produce it, and bring the produced files to PD21 for further editing. There is a utility out there that allows the transfer of one title to a different pc one at a time written by user Godfrey GA. The DZ can be used to do the transfer too by uploading and downloading. Don’t want users to use it if they leave their trash in the DZ clogging up resources. There are at least two options to do the transfer.

One better option may be to contact Cyberlink support. They may or may not be able to offer a better solution to someone who has at least 107 custom titles. They may know of an easier and faster way to do the transfer.
There are two new tutorials found at the bottom of the list for PD21 using Warry’s better link.
It looks like the gpu doesn’t have enough processing power for those large images on the timeline.
Simple fix. The Istock by Getty Images button is selected in your screenshot. They don’t have any music. Click the shutterstock button 4 inches to the left of it to make it turn blue than you can access music
I am not sure that the 10 bit video will import properly in PD21. A 5 to 10 second sample video file attached on your next reply will allow users to test it on their pc.
Just tried the SanDisk on my Win 7 pc. It shows up as a Local Disk and the other external SSD shows up as Removable Disk. Only the one that shows up as a removable disk can be used for that AVCHD folder creation. To me it is not a Windows problem but a SanDisk problem as it does not work for 50% of the people that posted a review.
Your assessment was spot-on.

Thank you,
I think that you are right about this now. See my response to a user with optical drive problem here: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97790.page#post_box_403617 . I had a lot of problems with this pc with oem drivers 3 years ago. I recently installed a fresh copy of Windows 11 pro which installed Windows drivers and everything seemed to work properly from the start. The customer reviews on this Sandisk drive are about 50% negative, 50% positive. Since it is intermittent and must be on a usb 2.0 port to sometimes work on my pc back then, I believe the programmers are not able to write the firmware and drivers properly. Now on windows drivers on my new boot drive installation, it works well on a usb 3.1 port as a local disk. You win some. You lose some.

Since I am satisfied with the performance so far on this pc after replacing the boot drive, I will use the other brands of external SSD as the removable disks for PD. They show up as USB Drive and not Local Disk in their Properties and can be used as removable drives in PD AVCHD folder creation.
Please see the attached screenshot.
1. AVCHD Removable Disk option selected for 1080/60p.
2. Final Output window show no current drive available so Create a folder is not available.
3. Chkdsk command show no problems with Drive E:
4. SanDisk Extreme SSD Properties is a Local Disk.
5. The Extreme SSD can be ejected like an external drive.

The #5 does not mean much to me as in my Win 7 pc, both the internal ssd drive c and the internal BD writer can be ejected too. I do not know how to determine if Drive E: went from an external drive to become an internal one. Hope that you can help here. I am running Win 11 Pro on this pc. Thanks.
Quote Interesting. The "Download XXX Templates" dialong is still there, but it doesn't work.

You can still download DirectorZone templates from the media library of PD365 like going to Titles/Downloaded/New Templates. This works with transitions, PiP objects, and particles too. You can browse and sign in if needed. That has not changed at all. That function was never in my PD17 in which you claimed to have before but is in my earlier versions of PD.

Try this: Click on the button for the PiP, click downloaded, click Free Templates on the top left. Your browser opens to the DirectorZone. Maximize the browser so that you can see the Sign in button on the top right. Sign in first. You can now download any PiP objects on the page or on any page.Don’t sign out if you don’t want to. Download one. A popup window asks you to click to install it. Do so. The new PiP object will appear in the PiP room downloaded at the bottom. You may need to scroll to see it assuming you chose the right aspect ratio.

The DZ has not changed at all. You just don’t get the selection that Jeff mentioned that has gone away. You probably expected that the Download new template thumbnail to do everything automatically without you have to do any work. This has never happen on any previous version of PD. including PD17.
Warry’s recommendation may fix the problem if you can fix all the problems in Windows first. It may be that you had a problem in creating a DVD that caused this problem. Something PD flagged in the registry that maybe only someone at CyberLink can know and fix. See this post where something similar happened to me. An external ssd used almost a year is no longer working in PD avchd removable disk folder creation after one non responsive incident: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/107928.page .
There was an update 5 days ago if you use the application manager to start PD365 but no update if you use the shortcuts. After updating I found the DirectorZone button is gone, It has gone the way of the Dodo bird.

You can still use the DirectorZone. CyberLink adds so many new templates each month written internally that you don’t need the DZ anymore.
Quote PD17 does not do this.

Is this a known issue, or do I need to report it (and then spend days convincing CL it's really happening).

It is a known issue with every version of PD.
I have been creating BD and AVCHD folders successfully on two different external ssd drives. Last night PD17 was not responsive in creating a BD folder consisting of 4 separate projects with subtitles at 1080/60p at a bitrate of about 8 Mbps.I tried to cancel it and choose to close it as waiting did not help. Today I try to create the same but each as separate projects at 1080/60p on the same SanDisk removable drive.. The Final output window shows no drive. I plugged in a different external ssd in a different usb port to create the folder successfully.

Found the Drive E does not work now as a removable disc for any AVCHD folder creation on PD17 or PD365. Tried 3 different external ssd drives, Did a system restore to Oct 28, 2022, the day I installed kb5018496 which gave my pc tabs in file explorer. Now I get no tabs in file explorer but I am able to use 2 different external ssd as Drive E but not the SanDisk. I went ahead and undo the system restore as I want the tab browsing in file explorer and can do workarounds to use the 2 other external ssd. I believe that the unsuccessful BD folder creation set a flag in the registry that does not allow the AVCHD folder creation with that SanDisk External ssd Extreme drive.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. Will write a support ticket if needed.
In my PD365, the Preference/DirectorZone is the 11th item down on the top left. It is just below Capture and Confirmation. There is a checkbox for Auto sign in to the Directorzone too.

You can download DirectorZone templates from the media library of PD365 like going to Titles/Downloaded/New Templates. This works with transitions, PiP objects, and particles too. You can browse and sign in if needed.
