In my PD365, the Preference/DirectorZone is the 11th item down on the top left. It is just below Capture and Confirmation. There is a checkbox for Auto sign in to the Directorzone too.

You can download DirectorZone templates from the media library of PD365 like going to Titles/Downloaded/New Templates. This works with transitions, PiP objects, and particles too. You can browse and sign in if needed.
Quote I am very dissapointed .

The cyberlik support knows my problem , but for the moment no solution . They have the dxdiag , video capture of the crash ...etc
Theirs response are too long .

Michel

Three years ago, I purchased a new pc that had numerous problems with windows 10. Mp3 variable bit rate videos do not properly work in PD17, must be constant bit rate, Sandisk brand external ssd(nvme) drive intermittently work and gets corrupted when connected to any usb 3 port. No new usb drivers available on the MB or Intel website. Later found that it sometimes works on a usb 2.0 port. This same drive works properly on all other pc’s that I plug in the usb ports for testing.

Last month I had to replace a m2 boot drive. Decided not to reinstall win 10 pro or the drivers from the oem discs. I used a different pc and downloaded win 11 from the MS site and installed it on this pc as I have the oem license. That is the best decision I ever made. All those previous problems I had and have to do workarounds disappeared. No more audio problems, windows issues, or the Sandisk drive problems. Checked and found that the new win 11 installation put windows and not realtek drivers for the audio and windows drivers for everything else. This is the first time that this pc works as intended from the beginning.

You may want to back up your boot drive, format your drive in Disk management and install windows 11 with a copy from the MS site. I did eventually install the realtek driver because I wanted to use the Stereo Mix. I also installed PD custom profiles from a backup. It is possible that you may get the same result I got.
You could go ahead and produce everything as is first. If you are still concerned with the safe tv zone, then put the produced files on the timeline and resize them on the preview screen with the tv safe zone turned on and/or in the PiP designer with the tv safe zone turned on.
Quote None of that is in the blu-ray footage.

So my guess(?) is that when the AVC-HD production converts the 60(p) frame rate to 60(i), the conversion process shows up in the edge and/or contrast detail as a shimmer/glitter. Because using the same frame rate from start to finish did not result in this effect.

If that's what causes the shimmer/glitter effect, why doesn't the AVC-HD disk option include 60(p), like the Blu-ray option does? Is there something in the AVC format that prevents encoding in progressive rather than interlaced? Just curious.

It is Cyberlik’s choice to do that in PD20. I already posted in the 5th thread that the 1080/60p is available for avchd discs and how to do it. Select that Removable disc option.

I don’t have those shimmering effects for 1080/60i videos on any of my TVs or on my pc as the players are deinterlacing properly on all my devices and players. It is usually in the settings. Does the disc play properly with your old Panasonic player?

The removable disc option in the avchd dropdown arrow selection allows me to place and rename multiple created avchd folders with menus on a removable ssd and/or flash drives and play any of them on my Sony Standalone player usb port without ever creating any disc at all. This again is another option.
Quote The file is attached now

That DxDiag.txt is not attached or seen in your post above. Did you browse to the file name and location and click OK after clicking the attachments button?
No. Your question was answered previously. You may want to do an online search for and use an online video bitrate calculator or download one to use locally on your pc. You should then be able to get close to what you need by creating custom profiles. As an alternative you can ask Cyberlink support if you want to be exact and see what they say.
Quote Hello EverybodyI have produced the DxDiag , but I can't know how to join it

Try this: You need to attach the DxDiag.txt on your next reply by clicking the blue attachments button at the bottom left. On the reply screen, do a Control-A keyboard keys to highlight the whole screen in blue. Right mouse click and click Translate to French. You should then be able to see the whole page including the instructions in your native language.
I don’t see any difference with the same 24 bit jpg imported in Lightroom and in PD365/21 in my pc. See the attached screenshot. Is the format of the image a jpg or a 10 bit hdr image. That will show the difference. You can supply the original image for other members to check out on their system.
You need to contact Cyberlink support and give them the link to this thread so they know that you already applied the patch and they can see the Dxdiag.txt at: https://www.cyberlink.com/support/index.html .
There is really any better hdr support in the latest PD21 over PD17. See this thread and make up your own mind: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97172.page#390902 . There is not any new video import format over that from PD20 in the specs: https://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector-video-editing-software/specs_en_US.html .
You need to change the duration of the title by highlighting it on the timeline. Click the Duration button above the timeline and change it from the default time of say 10 seconds to say 20 seconds to slow it down by half, etc. Click the okay button. Repeat this until you get it right.
Since you posted in the PD Previous version instead of the PD365/21 forum, that means that you are probably using the PD18. I was not aware that you can access Shutterstock audio unless you purchased a separate subscription to Shutterstock or on their free giveaway which cannot be accessed on my PD.
1.Yes if you do the research. Jeff and ynotfish show how to do this in a search of this forum. It works as I tried it years ago.

2. That original background video may repeat at 9 to 15 seconds. Replace it with a still image or choose one of your own that is say 99 second long or longer and change the setting to a 99 second timeout. See this tutorial: https://youtu.be/X18gbeVSI64 on the scenes menu. You may want to add a first play video instead. Possibilities are endless for the creator.

3. Never heard of this from anyone. If you have added subtitles on a video on a timeline then there will automatically be a subtitle button in the main menu. If you have subtitles in say 3 different languages then you have to have 3 separate video projects, each with a different subtitle language. You would add them to the menu as titles and choose to play, say the selected title only in the menu.

Hope this get you srarted on your menu creation.
It sounds like you did well at Walmart for the $54 online find. That is known to happen at many stores where you see new unopened boxed merchandise on the shelf but they give you the scratch and dent if you order to pick at the store. Glad that you got a good one at the end!

You can find PowerDirector voice over tutorials on YouTube from PowerDirecor University and others. This may help.
Your Dxdiag.txt indicates that you have crashes on P2Go 13 from the build in 2019. You can download and apply this patch update to build 2024 for improved Win 10 compatibility: https://www.cyberlink.com/support/index.html?action=download after filling in the blanks.
Quote Instead of burning a standard DVD disc from within PD20, I did it from a small freeware program called DVD Flick. It doesn't have much customization, so I used Normal settings for everything. Used same machine (LG M-Disc Blu ray/dvd burner) that I'd burned all the other test discs on. Even though the settings are (I assume) the same as PD's DVD-burn specs, the resulting disc looked better. Not as good as the AVCHD DVDs, but definitely better than PD's output of the same 'product'. Seems odd because the content itself is the same in both of the software tests, right? The only difference being that PD burned from a .pds file and DVD Flick was starting with an .mp4 file.

So it looks like I am down to two choices for all this footage. Either buy a new, fancier blu-ray player (and it seems that only the 4K Sony ones specify that they will read AVCHD 2.0, but lots of complaints about them also); or burn everything as AVCHD on DVDs for myself, and downgrading to an MPEG-2 lower resolution DVD to send to people who want a copy. Of course I have a stack of blank blu-ray discs... :-/

The problem with using DVDs is, of course, available space. Even though AVC-HD obviously compresses the output, I don't think the longest videos are going to compress enough to fit onto a 4.7 GB DVD

Is there any way to burn AVC-HD format video to a blu-ray disc (and keep it as AVC-HD format)? At least on a blu-ray disc I'd have enough space for the longest videos. I have read online that AVC-HD is "compatible" with blu-ray; does that mean there's a way to get them onto a blu-ray disc instead of onto a DVD? If so, how? (google results only point to using Roxio Toast but I have a PC, not a Mac)

Thanks for your patience!!

It looks like you have done good research on BD players but may have missed a few items. The current Sony mid range offerings all play avchd 2.0 discs whether they are on BD/BD-RE, or DVD+R./RW or on a DL DVD disc. See the cheapest BDP-S1700 (about $70) manual on page 35 at the bottom: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4579/f2b13b14d596d6574a73a689b5d4b0dc/45796631M.pdf . Avchd 2.0 is supported. You find the same information for the higher up Sony non 4k BD players too.

1080/60p video is available for both BD and AVCHD Discs if you look at the settings.
720/60p video is also available for both in the settings. I use both.

You can put in about 20 minutes of 1080/60p video on a dvd avchd disc or about 40 minutes on a dvd+r dl avchd disc but have to burn the folder to a removable disc first like an external ssd. Burn that folder to disc using any burner software. You can burn 720/60p directly to the dvd as an avchd disc if desired.

I have also used other software like those you mentioned for dvd. Use whatever you like. There are too many out there. Cyberlink Power2Go is free and works similar to the others in that you add any format video files in which each is a new chapter and then burn to a dvd. They are easier to use for some users.
None that I know of.

Keine, die ich kenne.
Quote Hallo Zusammen,

Translation of above post: Hi everyone,

does anyone know how to get the express projects from the past versions? The person from the support had told me that you can play them again. But I don't remember how.

You would help me a lot.

Best regards, Janine

You can use them in an earlier version of PowerDirector. I am sure that you should contact support again and get the answer that you don’t remember again. As an alternative, you can do a search on this forum for different answers for the Express projects that you may find useful. Express projects may be obsolete for PD21 but you can still obtain them..

Theme Designer has the closing. Express Projects has the Ending. Better to view the tutorials for PD365/21 and not for the earlier versions that may confuse you.

テーマ デザイナーの締めくくりがあります。 Express Projects にはエンディングがあります。 混乱する可能性がある以前のバージョンではなく、PD365/21 のチュートリアルを表示することをお勧めします。

Quote SVRT I know how to switch off but how do i switch off the other?

Thanks,
Wrswaim

This can be done in Preferences/Hardware Acceleration. Uncheck Enable hardware decoding as suggested by Warry. It should render correctly now if fvrt is unchecked.
.
Change the video player.
