On the contrary Llanfair pg, as it is known in North Wales is a description of the location.
Hi mgshn,
With "Change Alias", one can even change the file alias to a full stop "." if you're so inclined to see even more.

Hi Kat,
Your media files should be stored in a folder on your hard drive, yes? They're not stored in the Program files. In pdr10, go to File/Save project as and save the pds, project file to a new named file and to a folder of your choosing. Keep the project file safe. After installing 14 you can open the pds file with 14.

Hi Kat,
I have read this type of issue before, a long while ago and answered many when PDR10 came out. The basic problem for you now is, the purchase was of an old program that is no longer supported by CyberLink.
For PDr10, a user (if I remember correctly) had to be connected to the internet and then activate the different produce formats individually within a 30 day window. There is nothing anyone here can assist you with. as you appear to have exceeded the time period. PDR10 is an old program, the latest is PDR14. Your choices are:
1. See if online support will assist (I doubt it as PDr10 is not a recent program).
2. Buy the latest PowerDirector... PDR14, you might be able to buy the Upgrade to 14.

Hi 4KONAZO,
Thank you for the images.

I interpret the images and the info you gave as follows.
1. Check out Part E & F in the guide, that'll help you do screen capture rather than using a camera
https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/45453.page
2. The images showed me you were using Shadow Edit Files, an image of the full screen would have helped but no matter for the moment.
3. The track slider (red line) and the video displayed is an indication you have other content in other tracks beside Track 1. Note your horizontal slider has not reached the end of the display and the vertical slider also has more tracks to display.
Try:
a. Under the Preview player move the slider to the very end. see image.
b. The track slider will then be next to the very last clip/video that should not be in your project. You may need to move the tracks up to veiw them all - slider control on the right. Delete the unwanted clip by highlighting it with a right click selecting Remove.
I have provided a number of images that may help you and be a solution to your problems.

Let us know what response you get as updating your driver is important.

Hi Canonman5D3,
How about attaching some or just one of your prx profiles and letting us take a look at and amend and then give some/one back to you to test/import? We can also test out etc.

Enu = English language, the default set up. Look in Preferences>General>Language to see if you've altered the settings - just in case.

Side note (Dafydd) - that "asterisk" is just the icon for IrfanView, showing it's the default program for JPGs.

Yep, that does answer the "asterisk", threw me out as the JPG was highlighted.

Even Tony typed in an error (maybe as i haven't tested the x -PAL naming structure) when showing you how to title the files ...
Many of yours are named xxxxxxxxxxx - PAL, rather than xxxxxxxxxxx -PAL

Should read xxxxxxxxxxx-PAL to be exact

SEE: WMV 9 HD High Quality-PAL.prx

Thank you for the images, not sure why you've asterisked the AVCHD warning image.

Is below the same as what you view as WMV Profiles, if not please show?

Open PDR14

Go to Preferences, set Track display to 25fps

Drag the sample video into track 1

Go to Produce

Select "Windows Media"

see image.

Hi 4KONAZO,
Thank you for the information.

Please change your Edit workspace display to Timeline as The Shadowman has guided. This will give you more information and assist us and you (when you edit). Please take a screenshot showing us the Media Library and the Timeline tracks - full screen shot of the Edit workspace again please. We need the info that it provides us. We want to see what you're looking at.

Ok, I note your driver is over a year and a half old = means it is older than the software you are using. Re-check for an update by going to the Intel website. Do not rely on Windows 7 info on drivers.
Driver Version: 10.18.10.4061
Driver Date/Size: 1/1/2015 00:41:02, 10896312 bytes

I have provided links, it is uptoyou to ascertain whether the links are to the right graphics card.

I have experienced a similar display issue years ago.

The best approach you need to do is update your drivers, change to a timeline display and give us a screenshot.

Looks like a great holiday and lovely images. Remember, you can ask members to assist you in improving your editing skills at any time, we all enjoy helping each other here.

Hi,
I'm not trying to upset anyone here but the OP has left and will not respond further, as far as I'm aware. I'm locking this thread.

Hi 4KONAZO,
Ok, we'd need the "additional info" too please. I'll list the info guides we need you to look at and then attach the info to a reply please.

I'm guessing, take a look at your graphic card drivers they may need an update, go to the manufacturer's website.
The bitrate and frame size of the video maybe making your computer struggle.
Check out the guides for Part A, PDR14 version info.
Part B, Diagnostic of your computer.
Part E & F for a screenshot of the Edit workspace with your project insitu.
Part J info of the media you're editing.
http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/45453.page

Please provide all of the above bits of information, as they'll give us the clues to assist you quickly.

Select Post Reply and Attachments - you'll need to attach the images.

Looks to me you have a file name (external) and a internal display name muddle going on.
Ensure you follow the naming of the "-PAL" naming for the external and change the internal name to be different from all the others. Example WMV 9 Canonman5D3 SD720x576-25fps-. You must not have same name internals - that's what PDR is picking up in the Produce section.
Check your file naming structure more closely - you've just messed up a little
Just a guess.

Hi Kimsie,
Did you install PowerDirector and then the Content packs (which you should have downloaded and applied)?
Please provide details of what version you are using? See the Guide, Part A info please.

Both methods have validity as is the way with editing.

There was no need for the post ( http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/48880.page#256426 ) made by Neil.F.1955, adding the comment "... bit labour-intensive" served only to cause upset, compounded by a lack of apology afterwards. You need to just say "sorry", Neil.F.1955.
Dafydd
Hi Eugen157,
I'll try and find out what is going on.
