? PAL vs NTSC issue. Check your preferences perhaps.

I take it you have to do each clip individually ...
No. If the original clips were grouped in the same directory and shifted in their entirety PD searches the new directory for all the other clips.
|
|
The missing file error dialogue box has a "Browse" button. Just point to correct directory.
|
|
Have you checked the box in "preferences>editing" which says "link all tracks....."
|
|
cause they made me change my name as well
|
|
Try highlighting your entire project using your mouse (left click holding and lasso the clips). Once they are all highlighted right click and "group objects". They should all then move at once.
ps don't forget to check the box in preferences>editing to "link all tracks...."

I thought I was the first and only Jim here...
Nope .... according to the member list you are one of over 600 Jims. Sorry to deflate your illusions of grandeur
I, on the other-hand, am the one and only pjc

Is it just a few more menu and/or designer templates?
|
|
Have you played around with the keyframes? Add a keyframe earlier in the track and expand the video up to desired size at that keyframe?
|

Perhaps time for a new burner...but looks like you are about to build yourself a new machine anyway.

are they DivX ? If so search for DivX and have a read....not good news.

Sony just annouced 5 models shooting 1080/60p @ 28Mbps...so here is hoping Cyberlink irons out the wrinkles supporting this format in PD9 shortly!
More importantly, consumer playback devices may start to be able to play the 1080p60 files!

And three updates in almost as many weeks proves that CL didn't listen to the team of Beta testers.
I think it means that they released PD9 according to marketing forces and are still fixing the beta testers (and new) glitches. This is my point. Marketing is going to win over stability every time. If they waited until they had a stable programme with all glitches fixed they will be out of the scene, broke probably still fixing PD3

Absolutely!
Put the second video in a second track. Double click it to bring up PIP designer. Second tab for "path". Select no path. Then change the size and position of the clp for the beginning and end.

unfortunately not, PD shows me creation date of the file and not the original date of my scene.
Interesting - your data must behave differently. In the two snapshots you can see the file was shot on 25th, drop and dragged to my desktop today, and PD recognises it as being shot on 25th Dec: the info you are after.

Hi Neil,
As a user of PD for some years, I have had my fair share of gripes (and inaction from tech support) as well. My only defense on behalf of Cyberlink is that the 64bit programme is a different beast and not merely a build on top of PD8. Also I believe they are no doubt on a marketing schedule irrespective of whether the programme is ready or not.
Most of the beta testers were a bit surprised when the process was finalized but that is market forces for you. I see it in every area of IT/Technology that to survive you need your product out there first. Even huge resourced companies such as Apple churn out half baked products just to be adhering to the marketing strategy.
It works because for most people they either don't experience the inadequacies or are resigned enough to work around them.
I for one am happy with PD9 despite my gripes with it because it does the core process of editing and rendering my 1080p60 material easily which none of the other low end NLEs can do properly.

Don't forget the actual disc structure and menu system takes up a fair bit of space so give yourself some leeway

................ until I get the best framerate for 25GB.
I'm sure it is a typo but you are changing the bitrate, not the frame rate aren't you ?

If the concert had breaks in the middle is there a way to delete portions of the master track AND the video cut track maintaining sync between the remaining portions of the two tracks, or would you have to re-synch every time you make a delete in the middle?
During the intermission I turn off both cameras. When I power up them both again I just repeat the process and make a audio mark for both cameras for the second half.
If you want to chop a segment out of both tracks in PD just place the marker at the same point and split both tracks.
|
|
I know this isn't going to help your current project but I have had this tedious problem several times (I record about two concerts a year).
I now have both cameras recording continuously and create an audio mark at the beginning of the recording.
The master track of the whole stage is in track 1, second video of close ups and pans in track two as a continuous track and then sync the audio mark at the beginning.
I then shrink the the second track so on the preview screen I can see both tracks simultaneously and then perform the in/out points for cuts. Once this is done re-size the second track to full frame again and delete the cuts out. Audio all still in sync.
Also the opacity "band" on the video track does a nice fade job if you prefer fade transitions to cuts.

Go into Preferences via "Edit" Tab on tippy top screen (next to file) and change you preferred system to NTSC.
