How much to spend? Theres a question we all hate.
You might want to look at the newly released 6 cores from AMD.
They have great reviews for video editing and are priced RIGHT!

These look like a great setup.
Couple that with a 5870 and 8 gig of ram............ sorry drolling down my chin!

Speaking of fonts I need some more I had a font (name unknown) I liked but when I formated it was gone...must have been from another program.
I have a font disk of 5000 but not what I'm looking for.
Anyway there a about 2 trillion font sites (I counted them).......anyone know of a safe one.
Help, looking for fonts.....talk slowly I'm OLD!!!

Does the Icon show up in your task bar?
I had this problem with some logo software. It just won't open on MY machine but will on all my others.
If you see it in your task bar just right click and click restore (i think)
This is a know issue with Win7 and specific hardware.

I'm not sure what free item you are talking about but..... if you go to Cyberlinks main page and click on "members" log in and look under "member zone overview" I think you will find it there.

I’m a PowerDVD Virgin. I rarely ever play DVD’s on my computer and when I do I would use Media Player….I mean heck it’s free!!
For the longest time I never understood why anyone would pay $ for a DVD program that is already on their PC.
I recently purchased Media Suite 8 and upgraded PD to a full version. While playing with the program I thought I would try PowerDVD….and let me tell you I would have never believed it if someone told me it would make such a difference. It must be 10-20 times the quality of media player the picture quality is AMAZING. I actually watched two moves while working on a video.
I would have to say it’s worth every penny. I’m going to order a BlueRay burner very soon just so I can use it more!!!!

Actually I turned in a ticket about a key (turned out to be my fault)
and they responded the next day.
Maybe you should re-submit.

Don't qoute me but I'm pretty sure the USB is for uploading images only.
You will need a firewire connection to upload video.
I have an older sony cam and thats how I get video up.
PowerDirector finds it fine.
If your computer doesn't have Firewire you can buy a firewire card for an empty PCI slot.

Can I "exchange" or refund for full version of PD8 Ultra?
Let me ask you this are all other features "full" versions?
If so I don't mind upgrading PD a least I "would have it all"

I hate to beat on this subject again but....
When I ordered Media Suite 8 it gave me a "Serial Number / Activation Key:" (16 characters). Power Director appears to need 30 characters to activate. Are these e-mailed at a later date?
Also is this why features are turn off, like adding track?
When I click on upgrade it wants me to spend another $60 to upgrade...is that just because it hasn't been activated?
I'm really hoping that Media 8 is all full versions. All I really need at this time is PowerDirector but for the price It made no sense to go with PD when suite was same price.
If power director is not full version can I do a exchange to PD
