Thanks for you input troy. Hopefully the issue will be corrected in the next version of power direct.

Thanks Keith, I tried burning serveral times andon the last try it worked. I am still very frustrated by not figuring out what is causing this error. When the error occurs my system says that it has plenty of memory and storage capabilities.

I tried to burn another copy and this time it worked. No idea why, I did not change anything on my computer or on the disc. I am burning them to disc's because when I save them in a folder and burn to a disc it will not play like a DVD. The disc play fine on the computer and tv, but for some reason will not play sound in Windows Media Player.

I know lots of people are having the same issue as I am, so I am posting this in hope that someone has a solution to the problem with power director 8.
The problem I am having is with PD8 v 2220 when attempting to burn it stops at 99% with the error message: Burning unsuccessful not enough storage is available to complete this operation.
This happened about 20 times and then I was able to successfully burn two videos. The two videos that burned were the same ones that I was unable to burn earlier no changes were made to the video itself. I did however uninstall Roxio from my computer. Later I made changes to the title menu and attempted to burn again I received the same error message. I have since tried burning the same movie in different formats and still receive the error message. I have not re-installed roxio.

Keith how did you figure out that the cause of the error was conflicting drivers. I still have not been able to fix my burn problem. I dislike the fact that I had to uninstall my Roxio in order to make PD 8 work. I am hoping to get this fixed so I can finish my project. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I too am having the same problem. One member suggested I uninstall Roxio once I did that I was able to burn several dvds. Recently I made changes to the dvd, attempted to burn again, and received the same error message. The first burn that failed, I change the format of the DVD in production mode. The second time I did everything as I had done the few times it burned and I still received the error message.
I am using PowerDirector 8 v2220
The computer is a Dell Precision M6400 Intel core 2 duo 2.34 GHz 4096MB RAM and a Nvidia Quadro FX 3700M video card.
The video file type is an AVCHD 1080i format

Thanks for the imput, I was afraid that would be the problem. Unfortunatley I need them to play in WMP for work purposes hopefully someone else knows the solution to this problem.

After creating several videos I have attempted to view them in windows media player, the video will run but there is no sound. I am able to view them in other players with sound. Is there a way to fix this in power director or is there some other reason it is not compatable with Windows media Player?

|
Ah ok great thanks!!

I have power director 8 v2220 is there a way to make the DVD's auto run on a computer after you burn them. My movies will auto run when viewed on a tv. In a computer they open the D drive and have an audio and video folder. Is there a way to make them launch into the DVD? I normally have to open a media player then they will play.
|
|
I was able to view the videos in Windows Media Player, but there is no sound. I am very frustrated by the fact that I cannot create this disc in the program. Is there a way to fix that problem. Thank you so much for all of your help.
|
|
Ok I was able to complete step two. But when I go to open the file it has two seperate folders one for Audio and one for Video. There are no files in Audio, in video it has six files but when I try to open them they say that microsoft can not open the file and asks if I want to seach the web for a program to open them in.
|
|
What format would you suggest I produce it in? I am not very computer savvy so when you say produce it in another format do you mean. When in the production phase change it from say an AVI to WMV or a MPEG-2. If so I have tried the AVI, MPEG-2, AVC WMV, and MOV. If this is not what you mean could you explain the process to change the format and bit rate.
I will attempt step two and see if that works

I removed Roxio and attempted to burn again and it still had the same error. Burn unsuccessful - not enough storage to compete operation
|
|
Ok i disabled the GPU acceleration, the enable preview during production was disabled. The hardware video encoder was disabled and I was not able to change that option. I tried again to burn the video, first I produced it then when I click create a disk it begins to load and then freezes at 78% if i leave the computer for ten minutes it resumes and loads the burning phase. When I attempted to burn it this time it burned to 99% and then said burning error - burn unsuccessful not enough storage

Ok I solved problem I. Well I didn’t solve it but if you let it sit for about ten minutes it will load. Now I have another major issue I cannot burn it to a disk. I have tried to burn it in every format and I keep getting different error messages or the program shuts down. I am beyond frustrated with this program. I followed all the steps and produced it first then attempted to burn.
The first error was an actually error I cant recall the number
The second -fifth time it said unable to burn unidentified error
The six -eight time it said not enough storage to support (although there is plenty of room my movie is 1.2 gb and my dvd will hold 4gb
The ninth - eleventh time it shut down
I have changed the formats and done tons of things to it but still no luck. This is a work project and it has to be turned in by Tuesday any help solving this would be great
I have Microsoft 93
And Roxio
How would I disable GPU encoding??
Thank you

Ok I have been workin on power director every day and it has been running fine after installing PowerDirector 8 (v2220). The last few days it has been shutting down and freezing alot. Today everytime I click on the text box to add text to my project it feezes and I have to manually shut it down.
The specs are as follows
1)The computer is a Dell Precision M6400 Intel core 2 duo 2.34 GHz 4096MB RAM and a Nvidia Quadro FX 3700M video card.
2) The video file type is an AVCHD 1080i format
Any help would be of great assitance

Thank you for all of your help!!!

Good news. I downloaded the new version of PD and some of the bugs are gone. I produced the video and then was able to burn it successfully!!! The only problem was when I went to create the DVD it will load until 92% and I have to wait ten minutes for it to finish, just like the last version that would load up to 71% and stop.

Do I need to remove all transitions from color boards. In the file I am trying to burn I do not have any transitions from color boards in the beginning. I removed the one at the end and will try to burn it. Is this a problem in all the power directors because I will need to add transitions from color boards to clips in later projects??
