I knew most I didn't make myself clear- my bad. Here's what I meant to convey. I would like to be able to see "a timeline full" - hit a key and see the next full timeline, hit a key and see the next full timeline, etc. on down the line to the end of the project without having to do that by dragging the slider at the bottom of the timeline-if that make sense. Being able to do that would enable me, for example, to examine a chunk of the timeline and quickly pick out bad sections.
I do not understand next timeline, it would not be next track.
If you have a project with many track, I only see the slider to the right upright.
If to zoom in [+ or -] on the timeline.
What I use:
Slider horizontally down the left side.
other:
Click, hold and drag the ruler above the timeline is very quick to get anywhere.

Is there a way to make the timeline cursor jump from wherever it is, say near the beginning, to the end of the timeline (not the end of a clip or the project)
Press the key END on the keyboard, see if that's what you want.
To see all shortcut keys, click the "?" it in the upper right corner,
select Hotkey List

Hello Playsound,
I was thinking of using a long 50ft HDMI cable from my PC straight to my TV to view my produced videos?....Would'nt that be the ideal setup to minimize resolution loss? Anybody have opinions? Thanks.
I understand your question, just tried to show other ways to do it, not even mentioned using Wi-Fi.
I have not experience with long HDMI cables, I think the biggest problem would be with possible interference and a small signal loss.
Image resolution (size) should be the same as the TV, I suppose is FullHD 1920x1080.
If you have to render the video in PD13, look for a profile that will connect SVRT if possible, or create a profile similar to the original video in this case if the original has a low bitrate, increase the bitrate.
Will not improve but at least should not worsen.
Example: bitarate 6 kbps. go up to 16 kbps.
Obervação: HDMI is digital signal so that it reaches the destination with a good level has no reason to be any difference in picture quality.

You can play your video directly from the card using a USB adapter connected to TV.
Or copy the videos to a USB pendrive and see direct TV.
Most recent TV's supports MPEG2, MPEG4 and other formats.

Is it possible, when I upgrade from PowerDirector 10 to 13, that I can still open the PowerDirector projects saved with PD10 in PowerDirector 13?
Is normal, project PD, earlier version, open in PD recent.
In doubt do check it if it's all right.

I have a video recording that has sound only in the L channel. How can I put the same sound on the R channel, so that I have sound in both L and R channels?
You can copy audio L channel to the R, watch this video.

What I do when applying transition only to video.
1 - Unlink Audio and Video, move the audio to another track, facilitates in this case.
or
2 - Lock the video track during editing.
In both cases use CROSS transitions to maintain audio and video synchronization.

I created few BluRay, the last I made had a similar problem with yours.
First attempt used SVRT for fullHD video, NTSC 1080P.
Second time left PD render all video, gave the same.
My conclusion, My Sony CX-220 camcorder has quality options, I used the highest and according to the manual should use class 10 card for this option, I use class 4 card.
It's just an observation not know if this was indeed the case for me.
The video played regular straight in the camera and editing seemed normal too.

Have done a little more digging an it looks to be something to do with linking/unlinking of the audio/video components of footage.
Will keep looking
Update PD. for version v.2408.
If not resolved, the solution is to add the video will again overlap on the timeline.
Or right click and select, Unlink Video and Audio.

I think this video was made in PD, it is easy for those who already have esperiencia with editing.

I would like to know if there's a way to resize a group of selected images to match the TV safe zone. I don't believe this functionality exists. Choosing more than one photo in the timeline and then resizing them all in one step would would sure save a bunch of time. Having the ability inside PowerDirector to resize to a percentage of the original or percentage of the TV safe zone would be nice.
For to save the photos in video is simple to do.
Mode 1, select all the photos in the timeline, click on Use Magic Tools.... / Magic Motion / User Defined, Adjust the size at the beginning and end, OK.
Adjust the size that will apply to all selected photos.
Mode 2, select 1 picture, note the preview window appears white balls on each side, click and drag the border to reach the size of the image, turn on the line showing the boundary of the TV safe zone, case is not shown.
After adjusting a photo, right click and select Copy keyframe Attributes, select other pictures, right click and select Paste Keyframe Attributes.
Adjust the size that will apply to all selected photos.

Hello and hoping someone can help.
I am having problems with, when adding a fade in or out transition, the audio doesn't follow with the same fade sequence. I'm having to do this manually every time. Its very frustrating and time consuming when working on a larger projects.
Please forgive me if this topic has been brought up before. If so, could someone post a link to it please.
Cheers
Sot
In the past it was common fade in / out for audio and video.
Then it was separated, and added 2 specic transitions to audio, but I think the way fast.
Option: (F9) Audio Mixing Room, Fad-in or Fad-out button, or directly on the audio line.

Hello,
Thank you all of you for your help.
I have upload my transitions to DZ, they are :
• Abstract Twist
• Abstract Lighting
• Abstract Down
• 3D-Abstract-Rainbow
But the strange thing I have faced is the message from DZ after updating the transition style field from General to All:
Here is the message:
We're sorry but the request could not be processed
The message has been logged together with more detailed information
about the error so we can analyze it further. Please try again.
If you're having trouble locating a destination on DirectorZone,
try visiting the DirectorZone home page.
Problem with the site is the moment thing already happened to me, try again or at another time it works.

Thank you PlaySound for your help.
I found the directory which contains my transitions, they are thub_xxx.png & xml file, but I want to share them in CL DirectorZone.
How to create the .dztr file for each transition ?
Regards
The way I know and save his transition to DirectorZone, you need to register on the site is free for Cyberlink users.
From PD, will upload to DirectorZone, the file is packed into container "name".dztr

Continues here, Intelligent SVRT this very slow making it impossible to use to check or create custom profile for large projects.
Works "normal" only for small projects.
Someone else has this problem?

Patch PD today and my audio extract function is amazingly slow...
Perhaps the patch reset some setting I forgot about.
Just raisin awareness.
Thank you
I checked here and it was normal for me.
Video MPEG2 SD 1 hour, took a few seconds to extract audio.
Another option add the video on the timeline, click with the right and select, Unlink Video and Audio, delete the video if necessary.
If you want to save this audio file, go to Produce, audio file ....

Hi Dafydd Bevan - SoftDeko
Thank you for your help
Note, in my understanding are two different things, 1nd case, the Fade Out is about the same duration of effect, in my case.
2nd case, the images (balloons) that appears suddenly from beginning to end the presentation of the effect.
2nd case, Resolved unchecked the box (Enable fade-in) in Particle Designer.
1nd case,Resolved, Modify Templante, Save.
Added the effect on the timeline, now he has the standard time here 5 sec. adjusted to 1:24, open Particle Designer, now have control over Enable Fade-out, works perfectly for me.
Note: These short-term effects, were made in PD12 and PD13 presented this problem, now already know what to do, it's okay.
