PD9 will still run on a slower PC (mine for example) but you will find that it takes vary long to run simple tasks. But i'll let the more advanced users evaluate your specs.
Premiere can be complicated and tough to use for the average user, but that's a topic for a different forum.
I agree with Fred, if your machine can' support it you'll have all sorts of problems to deal with. That being said, PD9 is a good upgrade in my opinion.
You could re-size it slightly, making it smaller, then rotate it after you put it on the timeline. Just click on the side of the blue circle and rotate it manually.
You could also put a watermark, discreetly but visibly, in a corner of the video. People could still copy it but you would have credit.
In the Create Disc menu click on the icon in the lower right corner.

Then set the duration in the lower left corner of the window.

When I am trying to burn to disc I get error:eEB020BE4

What else does the error message say. It might be easier to attach an image.

Here's How:

This happened to me too, after i ran the cleaner software. I think what i did solved it though. (only on windows xp)

I got this from a post by Dafydd but i can;t find it now.

I clicked run and typed regedit.exe
and went to hkey_local_machine>software>cyberlink
then deleted the powerdirector folder
i then proceeded to reinstall PD and it worked fine.
Tony,
A quick question (unrelated to this topic). What are those green marks in the corners of your effects?
Unfortunately no, PD does not have this effect. You would have to do it manualy in the keyframe editor after the effect is applied.
You could try producing it first then adding it back in to make the DVD. But also the authorising process of a DVD does take a while. You can check your burn speed and mabye increase it.
Look in the preferences. (The gear at the top of PD) Under editing is the option for transition behavior. Make sure your running build 2930 (click on the POWERDIRECTOR icon to view your version.) In the transition room click on the fade transition and in the middle bar click the apply to all button.

Here is the link for the latest version

There is no button for that, but i agree it would be a good idea.
Quote: Hi Chuck -

*** P.S. Tried to pack a little project containing ONLY colour boards to illustrate the above, but PD couldn't complete the task! Has anyone else had that, or is it just me?

Tony,
i tried to do the same thing, and had the same problem? Getting this error.
Quote: Video crop will zoom in or out in the video but you need to modify the motion and size by keyframe in the PIP designer. Here is a tutorial that talks about it.

You have to (in the PIP modifier) add keyframes to set the motion and how it resizes.

The above link wil help.

I burned i couple DVD's with PD and noticed, though they played fine, it wouldn't let me click the "Main Menu" button on my remote. Though i was able to use the top menu button. Is this just my DVD player or does it happen to other people. And is there any way to change this?
Thanks you, that explains it vary well.
I was looking at the Disc setting and was wondering, whats the difference between AVCHD and DVD? It seems like you can use a DVD for AVCHD, it that just HD?
Thanks,
Clancm
You can add a fade transition to the end of a clip when nothing else is next to it. then put stuff next to it. Or click on the clip click modify in the middle bar, click on the second tab . Then on the bottom left click fade out.
I just now got this screen. And like the disapering buttons when i clicked to the capture room it reaperared fine. The screen properties was below it.

Several things you could do.

Put the tittle on a background that is a color far away from it. Produce that and re import it. Chroma key the background Then you can use it as a PIP video.

You could also type the tittle in an external image editor then use it as a PIP object, just put it on a transparent background.

And finally you can adjust the duration of the entrance stay and exit of a tittle when an effect is applied to it.

PDTOOTS has alot of helpfull tutorials on things of this sort.

Happy editing!
