Doesn't recognize powerdvd server anymore. Does anyone have the same issue. There was a new IOS update and still not recognizing.
I am also using windows 8 pro and latest update for powerdvd 12 ultra.
Please assist.

Hey korrigan good for you. Did you read. It only crashes on some movies. And those movies never had trouble before the last patch. I paid good money for this software., actually the last three. Don't tell to sit by and just use something else. So far the dark knight and Star Trek

Stevek trust me I'm having the same issue. For example. The dark knight loads fine but when you select in the settings hd bitstream it crashes back to the main powerdvd screen still in 23 hz refresh mode. Which then have to manually change the refresh rate in nvidia drivers menu then completely close and restart powerdvd. It also fails on the current Star Trek movie.
What's really annoying is once you figure out how you get the hd bitstreaming on, hitting the next or previous chapters button also crashes the movie back to power DVD main menu.
It only works on some movies.
It's always like one this gets fixed and then they break something else in the patch. I'm getting annoyed. Can sit and truly enjoy the movie experience.

Powerdvd still crashes to the desktop when i enable bitstream audio playback on some blurays. The dark knight crashes and so does brave when it loads.
Please give us an idea when its gonna be patched? its unwatchable and annoying. Ive tried the workarounds thats been posted and there's no way to start the movie with bitstream on the dark knight with out crashing.

I have your fix for this problem. As in yes this is a huge problem! This overly brightness happens when you let powerdvd shut off windows aero. Having that box checked within the options /bluray settings/ advanced enabled makes everything on screen overly brightened. It's not your tv or components. Power DVD glitches and creates this problem. I don't have this box checked in the options because my computer can handle this with out it being on.
This problem also occurs within the media center plug in. There are no options to check or uncheck it.
I have sent this problem to customer support long ago and they neglected or could find a problem. As of right now I can still reproduce the problem if I want to. It makes everything's look terrible. Basically my calibrated tv look like its worth 300 dollars.
So uncheck the box and it should be fixed.

It fixed it but it totally froze on my half way through the movie. Didn't have time to load it up again. I will try later.

It's a LG BH10 BD drive.I updated from Power DVD 8 which came with it to Power DVD 12 at the beginning of the year.I did the update a few days after Power DVD 12 came out.
Like I said I tried my Prometheus 2D disk and bonus features disk twice in the BD drive and it worked just fine both times.And it worked on my Sony 3D Blu Ray player fro my T.V.
Hmm. I have an lg bh12ls38 and no luck for me today

It can't be my hardware. Windvd 11 pro works with lipsyncing at 23.976 and 24hz playback and 3d as well. ???
I'm trying to get this figured out with tech support. So far its hopeless.

Blu-ray 3d movies are not meant to use the slider. The depth and convergence option should be blanked out when watching 3d blu-rays. Otherwise it totally screws up the picture.
I agree with Man Khan, I've experienced this same problem. It should be greyed out or have a reset button if needed. This needs to be addressed i think.
