Why is it taking so long to fix the HD audio crashing issue. This is a known issue since October and is a major feature. I dont understand what it is taking you so long to fix it.

Remind us about the HD audio crashing; I'm sort of new. Is this what yoiu are asking about? Did you try the work around?

Stevek trust me I'm having the same issue. For example. The dark knight loads fine but when you select in the settings hd bitstream it crashes back to the main powerdvd screen still in 23 hz refresh mode. Which then have to manually change the refresh rate in nvidia drivers menu then completely close and restart powerdvd. It also fails on the current Star Trek movie.
What's really annoying is once you figure out how you get the hd bitstreaming on, hitting the next or previous chapters button also crashes the movie back to power DVD main menu.

It only works on some movies.
It's always like one this gets fixed and then they break something else in the patch. I'm getting annoyed. Can sit and truly enjoy the movie experience.

I'm watching all my movies with PowerDVD 12 and the highest quality possible audio track, and I have absolutely no crash issues. My collection: http://www.blu-ray.com/community/collection.php?u=194008&action=showcategory&category=1&categoryid=7

They are both talking about bitstreaming audio. They may believe that the audio is better. There si a lot of discussion if it is or isn't with consumer devices. .

Yeah, it's nonsense... just output the audio in LPCM lossless via HDMI after decoding by PowerDVD. There's absolutely no quality loss. My collection: http://www.blu-ray.com/community/collection.php?u=194008&action=showcategory&category=1&categoryid=7

Hey korrigan good for you. Did you read. It only crashes on some movies. And those movies never had trouble before the last patch. I paid good money for this software., actually the last three. Don't tell to sit by and just use something else. So far the dark knight and Star Trek

I don't tell you to use something else. Just use PowerDVD for decoding and send the uncompressed LPCM stream out to your audio installation. No quality loss, and no more problems. My collection: http://www.blu-ray.com/community/collection.php?u=194008&action=showcategory&category=1&categoryid=7

Hi all,
There's a new patch planning to fix this issue. The patch will be available around end of Feb. or early March.

Unacceptable !!

I'm so irritated at this company. It shouldn't take this long to patch. I'm tired of patches every 3-5 months

It has to be acceptable because that is what it is. Unless you own a whole lot of stock in this company, there are other choices. No one forces you to buy this best in class product.

Why do you think you get better audio playback with bit streaming or are you doing sometime else with the output from this program? Since the problem does not happen with every disc, are there particular commonalities with those that do or don't work? .
