No. You can see that in the screenshot too. Also that doesn't make a difference, clips higher up numerically should always play on top of lower.

For example:
I have a clip right at the beginning of my project that's 12 seconds long. The other clips start 10s but these are placed before i.e. higher up than the the beginning clip. Powerdirector has always played the later (bottom) clips over the earlier (higher) ones. Only now for reason that isn't the case. Its as if there's an inverted mask covering the later clip as soon as the earlier ones start.
I've checked everything I can think of. There is no mask, no transparency. What am I missing? What else could I check. I closed PD and restarted but its still there. Any help please.

Importing the wav worked so... problem solved? I'm able to carry on but to my mind this isn't working properly as I can't import mp3s and I used to be able to. 
As far as reporting this to Cyberlink goes, I had problems with my Screenrecorder and was in touch with them about it. 3 months of emails back and forth and uninstalling/reinstalling countless drivers and software versions and NOTHING got solved. €35 down the toilet. Reluctant to get them involved.

The track is an mp3. Created in Ableton, exported as wav and then converted to mp3 using Audacity. Didn't know that PD could import wavs, let me try that and report back...

Have a look at the screenshot. The waveform goes on for about 11 minutes but the audio ends after 2:13.

I have a music track that I want to use. It is 2:13 long. In every music player and in Windows Explorer it is 2:13 long. When I import it into Powerdirector the track is 11min long (ish). It plays back at the correct speed but the waveform is stretched out. After 2:13 the audio is over but the waveform continues to show. This mean I can't use the count in at the beginning as a visual marker for lining up tracks.
How do I resolve this?

Bought the full version and did three screen recordings... all worked fine.
Today I wanted to do another and lo and behold, the problem is back. Wtf??? Nothing's changed!!

If you have PowerDirector, you can mask that area and possibly copy other screen content there. That would work especially well if that area has mostly stationary content.

Did a screen record. Left a logo/watermark at the bottom right of the screen. Syays Screen Recorder by Cyberlink. How do I get rid of that? Buy the paid for version? Looked at the site but didn't see any mention of logo removal in the paid-for version...

Playing around with more in-depth settings and I see there is a section for lens correction. I selected Sony but my model was not listed. Clicked the download button and I got taken to the Cyberlink website and the page said:

Can you try checking if your antivirus/security software setting blocks screen recording tool to fetch desktop recording or producing the video file on the hard drive. You may try temporarily turning it off and recording with Screen Recorder, and see if that works.
Something is obviously blocking the recording process for two of your programs.

This comes up all the time. Not all cameras are aware of portrait versus landscape. If you turn the camera 90 degrees to orient the shot the way that makes sense, there ought to be an easy way to bring this into PowerDirector and handle it as if it was recorded explicitly as portrait or landscape.
The only way I have found to effectively deal with this is to bring my video into PD or WIndoes Video Editor, flip it, and then render a new file altogether. Then I create another PD project to bring in that converted file. It really shouldn't be this difficult. What am I missing? I see this quietion has come up many times over the years, and I don't see any good solutions on any of the previous threads.

Had to deal with this too recently. Was really awkward to work with the rotated clip. Didn't occur to me to render it separately and then re-import that. It's a good enough workaround but a better way of doing it would be great.

This is probably not the right forum but I don't know where else I could ask...
I'm looking for clips to use in my music videos i.e. clips made by other people. Free or paid-for, although I going to assume that paid-for will be better quality so that's probably the best way to go. Not too concerned at this point if they're real, animated or cgi, I will most likely chop them up as needed. Only thing is they have to be space, space travel or sci-fi related.
I did many google searches for this and all I get are Netflix recommendations and 'the 20 best sci-fi flicks of all time' results. I already have sites where I by audio samples and various studio plug-ins, now I'm looking for a video equivalent.

The opposite happened to me. Accidentally deleted a clip from the media area, saved, and when I reopened the file a few days later that clip did not play. Got a message about it too. My take-home from this was that the pds file requires all the required files to be in the media area.

For my videos I use the same intro and outro segments. I thought I could create these separately and then import them as finished clips into each main video (or just drop them in the C:/....../SampleClips folder) saving me time. It would also free up space in the media area as these segments are made up of several smaller clips, music and images.
My question: if I do this, will there be a drop in quality if these pre-rendered clips are rendered again? Not sure how the rendering process would affect the video/audio quality if they are rendered more than once.
Using PD19 Ultimate. Render setttings are 1920 x 1080/H.264/mp4/PAL
