Can you post a screen capture of what you're seeing?
Also, let us know what device created your video and what format and resolution it is. Some highly compressed video formats aren't able to give your colors crisp edges.
Onl,y screen capture I can do is linked in my message
Im using Razer Kiyo and OBS software
Going to steam out the green screen's wrinkles and
reset the lighting to see if that changes anything.

Finally got my green screen set up
Made a short 3 second video to show the problem I face
Played a bit with camera settings etc
Best I could get was this fuzziness around the edges of subject (hand or face)
and wierdness at edges of background

You right click on the transition in the transition room that you want to apply to all video on the selected track. You don't right click on the timeline.
Jeff
It is often a wonder why my forehead and slapping palm are not permanently affixed.
Thank you for not calling me out for the fool I seem

Use "Black and White" Fx.
Use color adjustment and change "Saturation" to 0, keyframe rate if desired.
Jeff
Awesome
Thank you

Just a posting error. The pic was attached however, which replicates my comments on how to do it. You're not seeing that menu? List your steps or post a pic of what you do see for resolution.

Is there any method that one can use
to convert a fadeout from color to black and white?

What you can do is freeze tje video at the desired moments.
Move to the point you want the video to freeze.
Make sure that that point is "selected" showing the red line on the right spot.
Right click the mouse with the pointer in de video clip
Select Edit video in the menu
Click on Freeze frame.
The frame or image will be inserted on the position with a length that is specified in the preferences for insertion of images.
The duration of the image can be set to the length you want the video to freeze.
Repeat this at any place you want the video to freeze.
Sounds good.
Will try to do it that way.
Thank you.

I've read your post several times, Phoenix, and I'm still not clear what you're asking. (Maybe I'm just dense.)
What is it you're trying to save time doing?
It sounds like you might be talking about rear projection -- an old movie technique in which a movie is projected from behind on a semi-transparent sheet so that the person in front of it seems to be standing on a street in Paris, for instance, instead of in a movie studio.
Is that it?
If so, that's possible but it's also a process that even Hollywood has long abandoned, for a number of reasons. Green screening and C Chroma Key are much simpler and, with today's technology, so much more effective.
While recording a video, for streaming,
I have a video clip running that will show by use of chroma key as a background
Total effect similar to a news broadcast where background is a moving picture
What I am trying to figure out is
can I pause that background momentarily during the recording?
Then, restart it...
Sort of like a slideshow in the background...

Unsure what you posted.
Looked like Martian poetry read by a Venutian.

And for your added question.
Select a timeline track, then RMB on the transition you want to apply to all clips, select “Apply Selected Transition to All Videos on Selected Track” and then set type of transition behavior you want.
Jeff
Okay, finally got the chance to try that method.
“Apply Selected Transition to All Videos on Selected Track”
was not an option displayed

In a video shoot, instead of having fluid video on the green screen,
is it possible to pause the clip in various spots, so as to eliminate the
need for cumbersome post editing?
In other words, I'm hoping to get it all in one shot, so to speak.
|
|
Awesome.
Thanks for the advice.

Is it possible to edit a clip after being produced?
I'm referring to putting titles in scenes,
[pssobly numbers on clothing.

Hi Phoenix -
This thread may have some help for your question, but I just checked on FB & the editing options (repositioning in frame) seem to have changed. I'll see what I can find out...
Cheers - Tony
At 6:11 pm Central time, I accomplished it with your guidance!
Posted the cover video on
https://www.facebook.com/NicholsonPE
by redoing the project in AVC H.264 MP4 at 1920 x 1080p
Fantastic!
Very much appreciated.

I am attempting to modify a video shot in 16:9
in order to up;pad it as a Facebook [age's cover video.
Their stated sizes required are varied.
One site is quoted as 820 x 462
another says 1250 x 312
Not quite sure how to change the aspect ration to fit.
Any guidance appreciated.
Edit: just read an article that stated "A Facebook cover video must be a minimum of 820 x 312 pixels"
Although it was written in 2017.....
Sent FB a few queries about this in the last week, but no reply yet.

That's definitely a non-traditional aspect ratio. Is this video from a camcorder?
But it IS essentially 16:9.
16:9 video (like 1920x1080,1280x720 or 855x480) has an aspect ratio of 1.777.
820x462 has an aspect ratio of 1.774.
I usually workl with 16 x 9
Uploading to Facebook, they have irregular dimension requests.
Thank you.

Assuming you mean the crop/zoom/pan tool
- Click on the clip
- Open the crop/zoom/pan tool
- Click on reset in the bottom left
- zoom effects will be gone
Hope this helps
Awesome
Thanks

I know how to change the resolution/screen size from
visiting the top menu bar, setting aspect ratio...
What aspect ratio is the screen size of 820 x 462 ?
|
|
Okay, I am prepared for a big forehead slap on this one.
After a project is completed, saved...
Before being produced,
Is there a quick way to erase all pan and zoom effects put into it?
