I`m attending to buy a Sony Vario notebook with 2.26GHZ processor.

I will have 4GB memory and Vista SP1. Intel Core Duo Processor

Now I wonder if this is powerfull enough for the latest version of power director and power producer.

Thanks for advising me.

Kind regards
Martine
I`m attending to buy the PD7 deluxe.

I have now PD5 premium and I can use it for my MOD files of my Everio.

But in requirements of PD7 I only see 2 JVC Everio camcorders.

**JVC Everio camcorder (GZ-MC100, GZ-MC200)**

Mine is not mentioned. Does this mean that only these 2 JVC Camcorders can be used?

Mine has also the MOD files which can be used according the long specification on PD7.

It is a bit confusing and I need to continue to be able to use my MOD files of my Everio cc.

Thanks for helping me out here.

Many thanks
Martine
Dear RobertJ,

many thanks for your info. It answered completely my questions. Super! Great!

I go first for Power Director.

I will take Power producer later on cause I find it a very good burning program.

Again many thanks for your help. Appreciated it very much.

Have a nice day further.

Bye bye
Martine
Dafydd,

Thanks for the info. Quite some homework for me :

What is the best for me to do. Buy the upgrades/or even full new versions one by one or buy a suite?

If I want to buy them one by one will I not be forced to update the others aswell? I mean e.g. I buy a new Power Director. Will I be needed to upgrade power producer or Power Dvd or Home cinema aswell?

Or can I just buy the new versions/upgrades of each program one by one, matter of budget ofcourse.

Many thanks
Martie
I have for the moment Power Director 5.

My desktop is a MD8800 Titanium (Medion) - intel dual core intel pentium D - dual core processor 830 - 3.0 GHZ - 4gb memory.

I would like to buy an upgrade and also upgrade all the other Cyberlink program I have such as :
- Home Cinema
- Power DVD
- Power Producer
- Power Director
- Media show (but I hardly do use this one)

That was a packet that was pre-installed on my desktop when I bought it.

I don`t know if an upgrade of 1 item forces an upgrade of another.

For the moment I don`t need to make Blue Ray dvd as my desktop is not foreseen of a DVD burner for Blue Ray.

Can you advise me what the best purchase might be? I rather like full program installation tha n suites which have not all the full programms, if you know what I mean.

Many thanks for your help, info and advice.

Kind regards
Martine
Dafydd,

I'm coming back on this item. It seems there is an audio difference between PD en PP. Is that normal?

What would you use to burn your disc in HQ?

Thanks for advising me.

ciao
Martine
I have a project running of 2.29 minutes of video files of my trip to NZ.

I'm arranging the video files with PD5 premium.

I will have to splitt it up into 2 project to keep the quality as the 'smart fit' will give me a lesser quality result at the end. Can't use DL as then then program keeps hanging and 2x normal DVD will play on every dvd player aswell.

Now the questions :
What shall I use to burn both projects. PD5 premium or Power Producer? Which one gives the best result and audio?

Shall I do it directly into PD5 premium and take burn to disc?
or
Shall I first make a file in PD5 premium and then burn it with PP? I have PP3.

Thanks for your advise.

Kind regards
Martine
I have for the moment PD5 premium, PDVD6 and PP3.2

It all still works ok but I`m thinking about getting newer version with more possibilities and features.

But when I see all these remarks on the new programs I have my doubts now.

So my question : Should I make an update and to which version then?

I still work on Windows XP with my desktop.

Thanks for your advises.

Kind regards
Martine
Well I tried several times but each time they say that the verification code is not correct.

So it is not working unfortunately

Martine
Dafydd,

Yes I know when you choose Produce you can choose NTSC and the country. I do that when I create MPG files.

But when I want to burn directly (create disc) onto a disc this option does not come forward.

Do I perhaps need to mention that in the General Preferences - TV output - NTSC?

Martine
Thanks Dafydd.

I used PP to burn.

Bye
Martine
I made a music video for a contest and now I want to burn it onto DVD with the best DVD quality.

Is there a difference between the HQ of PD and PP?

What would be the best option to take?

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards
Martine
Oops!!! A small rectification.

Solved the problem with the audio. Got it wrongly placed in the time line.
So Create Disc into a folder = ok

I tried to burn directly onto a disc = Yihaaaaaa! All working!

Just need to know how to put it into NTSC now. Can you tell me that?

Dafydd! You are my super support guy!

a happy Martine
Dafydd,

Your test worked!

I did the same with my project. All went find except for the music.
I have 2 mp3 files in the time line.
The first Mp3 file is ok. You can hear this one
For the second MP3 file there is no audio.

One more question : Where and how can I indicate that the DVD needs to be in NTSC format? I do not find that topic in the Create Disc.

Kind regards
Martine

Dafydd,

Here the info you asked for :
- Power Director 5 Premium 5.00.2505 a which should be the latest version according Cyberlink.
- I created a 2 different projects each of approx 7 minutes.
- The first one has mpg files and mp3 files. I added transitions and some titles in the time line.
- The second one has beside mpg and mp3 files also some jpeg files.
Also here transitions and titles have been added to the time line
- After each project was finished I clicked Produce.
- Took NTSC, default and DVD HQ
- The mpg files was created.
- clicked Home and the MPG file was imported automatically in the library
- Then I clicked Create Disc
- I took a JPEG file for background, 1 button, and added a title
- No chapters taken.
- Choose burn to Disk
- On the processing line I could follow the process.
- If I recal it also makes thumbnail
- When it came to 40% = producing titles, the program closes down

I will do your test and let you know the outcome

Thanks again
martine

Thanks for the info.

I will try the test and let you know the outcome.

Thanks again.

Until later

Many many kind regards
Martine
Can somebody please help me with this?

I got a reply from the Support desk in which they asked me what I used for burning the disc which I already explained to them. So I had to repeat it all over again.

So I'm counting on one of you to help me out here.

thanks in advance
Martine
I already asked the support to solve this problem but it is taking me to much time as I need repeat everything over and over again before they reply to my question.

So I truly hope that someone of you can help me.

I created my video file (mpg) and then I pushed Create disc.
Choose a background image, arranged the title and pushed burn disc.

The program starts creating the necessary files.

Coming onto 40% with the info Producing titles the program all of a sudden stops and closed down with the info that if found an error and has to closed down. I don't get any error number.

I already reinstalled the program but the problem keeps staying.

I'm forced to use Power Producer to put my mpg file onto a disc.

Doing this I have the impression that the quality is less. I made a mpg file in NTSC format with Power director. And using Power producer to put it onto a DVD I have to choose again NTSC mode. It seems that twice choose NTSC (in PR and PP) gives a lesser quality.

Can somebody help me out with the problem in Power Director 5 premium creating a disc please?

That would just be great!

Kind regards
Martine
