Hey gang,
Thanks so much for the info. I'm really green to the video editing world and have just now started using the semi advanced features of PowerDirector 13 (i.e. green screen). I still don't know how to maximize my use of the software. I was just really scared of another upgrade when I haven't even gotten comfy with 13.
Although, I have to admit i'm a bit confused about some of the comments on here. Did I miss something?

Hey gang,
First, thanks to all the great members on here who have helped me over the last few months with basic functions of PowerDirector 13. I was totally clueless so thanks for holding my hand and leading me!
Now, I got an email about updating to PowerDirector 14 and I'm scared! It took sooo long to learn the basic functions of PowerDirector 13 for me! Am I going to have to learn from scratch?
Also, can someone please tell me the pros (and cons) of updating?

Hey gang,
Really could use some help. I really want to use the Balloon effect under the effects section of the Title Room (F7). However, the card that the titles run on is only 9 seconds long and with that short amount of time, the balloon effects of the text scrolling up is too fast. Is there a way to slow down the animation of the text scrolling up without lenghtening the time of effect?

Hey Gang,
Can someone please tell me how I can take a screen capture from a video file using PowerDirector 13? I'm interested in making custom thumbnails for my YouTube videos. I'd like to take the perfect frame from the video and turn it into a JPG or PNG. I can then later add titles, PiP, etc. to that picture to create a custom thumbail for YouTube.
Please help.

Hey gang,
I have two laptops. One has Windows 7 installed and the newer one has the newest (I believe Windows 8.1). Powerdirector 13 is installed on the newer laptop (Windows 8.1). Recently, I received automatic notices from Microsoft on both laptops that I can reserve free Windows 10 updates for each laptop. I went ahead and accepted and reserved a future automatic install of Windows 10 on my older laptop running Windows 7. However, I'm hesitating to do the same on my newer laptop (Windows 8.1) because I don't want my Powerdirector 13 to mess up!
Any advice or inside info?

Hi all,
I have a JPG file that I would like to pop up on the top right part of my video for about 2 seconds. Is there a way I can do that? Do I need to convert the JPG into another format. I am totally new to this so any help is appreciated.
