Hey girley with the marbles pic,not by accident I suppose?..lol.
I come from PD12 to 14 myself and so far the only difference I can
see is that you are able to use 4k files end to end.
And have HA fast encoding in that format, not possible with PD12.
Apart from that there is some new possibilities using Gopro footage
But I was able to do all that and more in the free Gopro studio.
So..PD14 is a decent investment as it is right now.
But only for one reason.
Being capable of using HA with 4k files end to end.
And of course being an editor although quite limited compared
to vegas pro where I come from.
If it's just to convert files at HA speed without editing stuff you're
far better off with freeware like handbrake using open CL.
Capable of converting 4k files faster than realtime.
But naturally it all depends on what system and graphics card.
Personally I can recomment a gtx 980ti..it's blazing fast.
So..here you go.
Maybe I post some pic like yours of myself one day.
Satisfaction guaranteed.
But in the end..yes..getting PD14 is worth it.
I mean..look at the competition, they're all yesterdays paper.
Not able to deal with 4k files in the timeline or even preview.
Yes,,Adobe can do it pretty well, but only when you subscribe to some
Cloud thingie..Vegas is history..Avid is priced out of the market..
Resolve is a totally different way to do things and counter intuitive.
Edius is quite good but only cpu..so not up to 4k,far to slow.
Corel is just an old Ulead thing with some new bells and whistlesssss.
No HA acceleration at all.
So..just get PD 14 and you're good to go at a fraction of the price
other outdated sw asks you to pay.
Sorry for so many words..lol
