Betty.............
Put the clip on the timeline, Select it, look on top of the timeline for Power Tools. Click Power tools. In Power Tools is Video Speed.

Check video speed adjust your speed up or down. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

You have the HP oem version of PD12. You may need to buy an upgrade to get that function.

What Tomasc means, is you have a version of Powerdirector that does not have all of the features in the retail versions.

Cyberlink sells a low cost version to Computer manufacturers that is missing some functions.

Cyberlink does offer upgrades from OEM version at a small discount.

OEM versions cannot be patched. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Carl,
I bought this version as a complete program. Found a copy on new computer but installed the one I bought over it . Apparently I goofed somehow.
Should I delete the program and all references to it and then reinstall?

Hope that takes care of it.............
As I bought it as a complete program, am I correct in assuming it should have all the features? (I am sounding like a real newbie now)

Yes, if you bought a full retail copy it will have all the features. As you've surmised it would be best to completely uninstall it then reinstall the copy you've bought. Many people on this forum, including me, recommend using Revo Uninstaller to make sure that all traces of the old installation are removed.

Once you've reinstalled don't forget to activate all the various Produce formats within the time limit. You do this by Producing a clip in each format then following the activation prompts. You can use one of the sample files for this purpose or just a short clip of your own. Regards,
Mike

If you purchased a new version meaning PD14 retail and installed it then it should be on that HP computer. Many people have problems finding and navigating to the software in win 10. That could mean that you have both the PD12 oem version and PD14 retail version installed on the pc.

There is no need at all to uninstall the old software. It just mean that one may need to get familiar with the win 10. I remember answering this question before for another user.

Try this: Start the search box In the lower left of the screen and type cyberlink and then hit the enter key. You will then find all the cyberlink software installed on your pc if this is the first time. Start the PD14 that you want. If this works then you need to find out how to setup the desktop like you want in win 10.

Let us know if this fixes your problem.

If your download includes more than 1 link, download them all, and SAVE THEM! Any additional links to downloads are CONTENT packages which includes music, PIP objects, Titles, etc.
So many folks come here after losing the installed program and they realize they never saved copies of the program downloads and key info.
