Works great. Thanks!
By the way, does anyone know if these are still the optimum settings; I've been using these for years (152 videos and counting).
Resolution: 1280 x720
Bit rate: 6000
Thanks again.

Hi All,
I just upgraded to PD13.
I use Vimeo quite often. Vimeo has a tutorial that shows the optimum compression settings for PD9: http://vimeo.com/help/compression
The MPEG-4 button is gone in PD13. What settings do we use now?
Thanks for your help

Hi All,
I started using the MultiCam designer tool a few months ago and really love it, but I am having trouble syncing audio.
Sometimes, when filming my son's rock band, the internal mic on the camcorder gets overwhelmed due the loudness. I started using a Zoom H4N field recorder to capture the audio.
In the MultiCam Designer, I:
Click "Import Audio" to import the audio file from the H4n.
Import video from a Sony camcorder into Camera1.
Import video from a GoPro into Camera2.
I then set the Synchronization to "Audio Analysis" and click the Apply button.
The result is the program syncs the two video files well, but the auto track is way off to the right. There is absolutely no overlap between the two video tracks and the audio track.
Does anyone have any ideas why this doesn't sync?
Thanks so much for your help.

Well, I guess the 13th try is a charm. It just downloaded and is currently installing.
Is there a way to prevent this in the future?

Hi All,
My computer started grinding to a halt when trying to use PD12.
I ham trying to download the latest PowerDirector 12 update, build 2230.
I have tried quite a few times, but keep getting the MD5 error.
Is there an alternate method to download?
Thanks,
Brady

I think I have this resolved.
I turned off the Hardware Acceleration options.
Thanks for all your responses.

The Preview quality is set to "High Preview Resolution".
|
|
The updated driver is installed.
I reproduced the same video.
Green screen occurred at 10:52 rather than 11:00 this time.

Thanks for the response.
I will install an updated driver.
The graphics are integrated into the motherboard. If the updated driver doesn't work and I buy a supported graphics card, do I need to disable the motherboard graphics?

Hi All,
I have been using PowerDirector for years. It is a great product that became awesome over the years.
Something started happening that I rarely saw before. Now it is happening on every video produced since September (about 10-12 videos)
I record football games and come home with about 120-150 video clips. I upload them to the computer, and then bring them into PowerDirector. I add a title, add slow-moton to a couple clips, add a fade the end, and then Produce.
While watching the resulting video, I will get a green screen during one video clip every time. We can hear sound, but the video is just green. It only lasts the length of one video clip.
Today, it first occurred at about 3:00 minutes into the video. I re-produced the same video and it then came in around 11:00 minutes into the video.
Attached are the diagnostics.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help.

Hi All,
I figured out the problem.
The .m2ts video is not running full screen. I had shrunk it down a little and used flower.jpg as a background wallpaper.
For some reason, this causes the video to be low-res in .mov files. Other formats seem to work fine. I have other .m2ts video clips in the slide show and they look fine in .mov format. Must be a small bug in the software.

Thanks for the response.
Yes, I selected the Quicktime Full HD1920 x 1080 profile on the .mov.
Do the .mp4's pay on a Mac without conversions?n I will be happy to use that instead.
Thanks again,
Brady

Hi All,
I am using PD11 to produce a slideshow for a graduation event. The slide show needs to play on an Apple computer that controls the overhead projectors.
The slide show has a few 1440 x 1080 .m2ts video clips and a bunch of .jpg photos.
When I produce the video in PD11 using the .mov file format and selecting the 1920 x 1080 profile, the resulting video sections are very low-res and fuzzy.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help.

If I had a backup, I would have used it.
I have a backup of PowerDirector and PowerProducer, but I cannot find PowerDVD anywhere.

Thanks for the response.
I already installed the Trial, which uninstalled my original version of PowerDVD12.
How do I get back to the original?

Hi All,
Last night I loaded an updated driver for my Samsung blu-ray drive.
Now PowerDVD12 gives me the region code error, and also says it corrupt and needs to be re-installed. (This is no fun on family movie night).
I downloaded and installed the PowerDVD Trial, but there is no place to enter the license number.
Where may I download the software?
Thanks,
Brady

Thanks!
I got it now. I can re-size the two clips in the preview window. Works great.
A couple examples show spaces in track #1 where track #2 is playing. I don't think I have to cut the spaces in track #1. Since track 2 overwrites track 1, I think I can just leave track 1 as is. I want to use the audio on track 1.
Thanks for all your help. Project is under way!
I am working on my daughter's ice skating video. I filmed the performance from the bleachers and then afterward had my daughter skate the same routine wearing a Go-Pro camera.
Thanks again

Thanks Jaime-esque,
I am starting to understand.
Having a couple issues:
1) When I have the two tracks lined up, I can only see track 2 when I hit play. I need to see both clips at the same time to determine which track plays when.
2) I am trying to do a split on track #2. When I hit the split button, both tracks get split. How do I split only one?
Thanks again,
Brady

Hi All,
I filmed one event with two different cameras.
I am able to import the videos and place one video on track one, and one video on track two.
Now I am lost.
How to I tell the software which section of which video I want to play.
Thanks,
Brady,

Thanks for the help!
In chasing down all the data, I discovered that Windows Media Center was running at 720p.
I change to 1080i and everything works fine.
