Hi All,

I filmed one event with two different cameras.

I am able to import the videos and place one video on track one, and one video on track two.

Now I am lost.

How to I tell the software which section of which video I want to play.

Thanks,
Brady,

Start here and see if this helps.

In short, track two will always play, so you have to remove the parts that you do not want so track one will play at that point. Ok, that is pretty well all it says in that link. __________________________________

Thanks Jaime-esque,

I am starting to understand.

Having a couple issues:

1) When I have the two tracks lined up, I can only see track 2 when I hit play. I need to see both clips at the same time to determine which track plays when.

2) I am trying to do a split on track #2. When I hit the split button, both tracks get split. How do I split only one?

Thanks again,
Brady

Ok, I see the problem. You cannot see both tracks at the same time, but to the left of video track two there is a check box. Uncheck that to switch back and forth between the tracks. Basically, that disables track 2 and allows you to see track 1. To split only one track, highlight just that clip on the time line. That will put you in clip mode. If you are in movie mode the entire time line gets split, as you have already discovered. __________________________________

Hi Brady,

Are you attempting to Split when in Movie Mode, or Clip Mode?
In PD11, when in Movie Mode, then yes the Split button does appear, and hitting the Split button will cause multiple tracks to be split at your current scrubber position.
If you switch to Clip Mode, and highlight the track you want to split, you can now create a Split in an individual highlighted track.

Thanks!

I got it now. I can re-size the two clips in the preview window. Works great.

A couple examples show spaces in track #1 where track #2 is playing. I don't think I have to cut the spaces in track #1. Since track 2 overwrites track 1, I think I can just leave track 1 as is. I want to use the audio on track 1.

Thanks for all your help. Project is under way!

I am working on my daughter's ice skating video. I filmed the performance from the bleachers and then afterward had my daughter skate the same routine wearing a Go-Pro camera.

Thanks again
