Angie25 I do not believe you can work with bluray or burn any of the HD formats with a downloaded trial version.
Kind of makes trying PD demo a waste of time doesn’t it.

But rest assured full version this all works fine.
Isn't this all a bit ridiculous and way over the top complicated that SHOULD be a easy step in PD it's self at least in my OP there is way to much of this type a thing in creating menus and titles in PD

There are other ways different software as I am sure you have read here from me
O O the forum police are going to get you .

Seriously though PD has it's problems but I have found for editing video it is one of the best I have tried.

Final quality of the finished Blu will be great just like your input video
PD dosn't always look it's best in preview window
Looks nice to me as for your ?? don't know LOL
I FIND THIS BY FAR THE EASES WAY TO DELETE PARTS YOU DO NOT WANT IN VIDEO
Opps!! my bad
Just so use to reading about burn problems
There are so manyyy burn problems with PD.

AND once again simply just burn your produced video with NERO and I will add at top burn speed.

That is where I have set the 10sec but Magic Slideshow does its own thing it seems. However Magic Movie Maker does provide more flexibility so I am in experimentation mode ... Fun times

That is your mistake Do not use Magic Slideshow set every thing up your self.
Franzi]
I also found menus imposable within PD and time consuming.
PD is a great editor for making video clips and cleaning up defects but not individual click on titles of your finished DVD movies.

So what I do is use PD 10 for all my editing of video then produce the video in PD
Then load video into Nero for menus and burning of DVD.
Set up for menus is one of the steps when you click on burn in Nero.

I don't think I am alone in using more than one software to achieve what I want.

Try it Nero has the eases set up for this I have ever seen Editing video in Nero sucks however.

I can guarantee once you try this you will never use any other method.

Now I just but DVD in my player click on what clip I want as you can see in att.
I don't know how many times I most post this until users of PD get it for menus YOU CAN'T BEAT NERO SOFTWARE and this is Nero 8 what Nero 10 is capable of I will let you know as I have order it.

Is there any benefits to shooting video at 1920 x 1080/60i compared to
1920 x 1080/40i
I don't think the human eye can see the difference.
Seeing how when burning to a DVD for viewing on TV ,video only utilizes I believe 29 FPS.
Corrected me if I am wrong but what is the point of shooting or producing a video in H.264 AVC which takes forever to produce compared to say High quality MPEG-4 and is about half the MB in size.
I can't really see the difference in finished video burned to DVD for viewing on TV.

Had same problem as you with content pack one would not install as PD keep insisting it was already install , and I had removed it with normal windows installer after a install failure.

But when I ran Revo Uninstaller it found files from this content pack that I now removed with Revo Uninstaller and then content packs installed just fine.

Look very carefully with Revo Uninstaller running and see if you can find PD 10 content files if you do you got it made.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents worth I think Tony is also , VERY polite, professional and knowledgable. He also is an asset to this forum.
Barry what are you shooting your video with it sure is nice and clear even in the background ?
From Panasonic HDC-TM900 to desk top and then into PD 10

I did install Media Codec Pack KNOW as (( AVIVO PACKAGE )) after running this test

And now answer 9. Select MPEG-4 and SVRT is available, and in my case with the Default selection.

Is YES
Any custom downloads from Director Zone?? This fixed my problems.

I believe I have found problem for lock ups burn and produce failures.
Last night I did a complete removal of PD with Revo Uninstaller which will also remove hidden files.

On start up of PD 10 I did not fill in Auto sign in to Director Zone.
Last time I did this I set it up to auto sign in and found out when I started my so called clean rein stalled of PD it was full of custom content that I had downloaded before , along with my burn problem.
THIS NEEDS TO BE CHANGED once downloaded it is imposable to remove these files from PD 10 as far as I can see.

This time there was none.

2nd thing I changed was I did not check (( allow SVRT on single IDR H.264 video.
Which was checked before.

Loaded some video picked a menu and clicked on BURN and it worked great.
First time PD 10 has burn a DVD in over a week.
No problems with producing video now also.

So in short it was either a effected custom content from Director Zone or checking and allowing SVRT on single IDR H.264 video.

I suspect custom content because this is one of the only things I did was download some Director Zone to PD from time burning worked to complete failure in burning DVD.
PD 10 really needs more checking of files uploaded in this area as it would be very easy for someone to upload a effected file.

So I believe problem is in one of the many downloads from Director Zone which I will not use anymore that is for sure.
Got any custom content in PD 10 from Director Zone ??

1. Open PD10
2. Place your mov file into track one
3. Display SVRT Track (right click in tracks and "Show SVRT Track")

In mine Green line

4. Select View and select "SVRT Information"
In my test I used 2D, full HD 1080p

In mine AVC 1920 x 1080 60p (28 Mbps )

5. In the Standard 2D tab, what profile is being offered?

.AVI

6. In my test I have an Best Quality MPEG4 Profile displaying - what displays for you?
OK, What does that mean to me... it means the mov is being read as an mpeg4. I have a "green" SVRT line = video rendering not required.
7. Select Produce
8. Select MOV and SVRT is greyed out.

In mine Yes

9. Select MPEG-4 and SVRT is available, and in my case with the Default selection.

In Mine NO

I would like to know if other mov files have the same results please?
