Assuming that you have Power2Go, you should read the configuration settings in the manual or users guide...almost all the basic questions and setups are in there. If you don't have a user manual, then download one from this link: http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/support/power2go/userguide_en_US.html

For example, there is a configuration setting in preferences that says something like this:

".........Enable DVD auto-fit: Check this option to automatically fit the
video onto one disc with the best quality........."

A double layer disc would be another way, but your version of Power2Go and your CD/DVD burner or recorder must support these discs.

The last method is to rip the DVD using ripping software (many are free on the internet) and then choose the chapters you want to copy.

Of course, copying any commercial DVD is illegal and so you're on your own for the most part.
Power2Go uses the DVD NTSC standard (North America) or PAL (for the rest of the world). Power2Go doesn't, as far as I can see, support other aspect ratios, such as 16:9 widescreen.

So when you burn a DVD it is going to force and flag any content as 4:3 (for NTSC) aspect ratio. To maintain an aspect ratio that's different than that, you'd have to pre-convert to 4:3 using another software program (like free MediaCoder).

If you are working with a video that is originally PAL, try the PAL settings in Power2Go.............but only if you plan to play it back on a PAL system.
Perhaps a "sloppy" workaround/solution:

What about renaming the original files or putting them in a different directory for the time being. You could also copy them and move the copies somewhere else and then let Power2Go delete the others.

Also check in the preferences/configuration and library for the settings
Yes, just burn the MP3's as you would a data disc.

Supported File Types
Except when creating data discs (which can accept any kind of file
type), the following is a list of the file types that can be imported when
creating a music disc, video disc, photo disc, etc.
• Music formats: .MP3, .WMA, .WAV
• Video formats: .AVI, .DAT (MPEG-1), .MPE, .MPG, .MPEG, .MPEG-2,
.WMV, .DVR-MS
• Image formats: .BMP, .GIF, .JPE, .JPEG, .JPG, .PSD

Music Disc
To burn an audio music CD or MP3/WMA music disc, do this:
1. In the Select a Burning Task window, click the Music Disc icon and
then select whether to:
• create an audio CD
• create a WMA CD
• create an MP3 CD
• create a WMA DVD
• create an MP3 DVD

2. Use the search pane to navigate to the files you want to include on
your disc. The Media tab allows you to conveniently perform an
advanced search for your music files by album, artist, genre,
recently added or year using the CyberLink Media Library service.

3. Select the audio files you want to burn and then drag them to the
destination disc or click the add buttons.
Note: To extract the audio from a video clip to your audio CD, simply add the video clip to the disc.

4. When you have added all of the audio that you want to burn, click
"Burn New"
5. If required, adjust the configurations on the Music (Audio CD, MP3
Quality, WMA Quality) or Burner tabs (See "Configuration
Options" on page 52 for more information.)
6. Click Burn when you are ready to burn your disc. CyberLink
Power2Go will proceed to burn your disc.
7. When burning is complete, select an option in the dialog box that
opens:
• Click View Log to view the burning log. The log opens in
your default TXT editor, where you can view and save it.
• Click OK to close the dialog and then exit.
what you didn't mention was if you owned a registered version of Power 2 Go?

From this website:

What can I do if I lost my program?

There are three ways we can assist you:
Download version

To re-download software you have already purchased on CyberLink Online Store, you will need to go to your order information page and press the re-download button. To view your order please visit Cyberlink Member Zone and click on Check Order Status. If you purchased Extended Download option along with your product, you can download the program that you purchased anytime during the valid period (2 years starts from the day you purchase it).
Note: You are eligible to download the product for 5 times within 30 days after you place that order. After 30 days, you will need to contact technical support and provide your order confirmation email as a proof of purchase. The support team will then send you alternative download link to download the product you purchased.

Boxed version

If you bought a boxed version from our online store, then you can follow the same steps as above. If your purchase was made in a retail store, then we may provide you with a download if you can provide a receipt or if you registered your software prior to losing it.
Bundled version

If you have a bundled version (so the software that came free with your PC, notebook or other hardware), you need to contact your hardware vendor to get the backup disc to install the program.
You usually can't. You have to rip them and break the copyright (or copy guard) first.
The only way to reduce the amount of information on your original source file is to edit it and eliminate part of it. I don't think power2go can do that. What type of file is on the CD?
Well, just what it's saying....you need to re-install. Assuming that you are trying to start/use Power2go read on.

I'd start by re-installing Power2go only and see if that clears the problem. Then if not, you'll have to do all the others.\ one at a time using the same procedure as below.

First, using your Add/Remove programs feature in windows, locate Power2go and remove it.

Second, shutdown and restart windows.

Third, re-install Power2go.

As an alternative, you can simply re-install Power2go over the top of the existing program and hope for the best. You'd do that, without doing step one above.
Paul,

First you have to think/decide what type of DVD you want. For instance, will this DVD that contains your pictures be played back on:

1. A home entertainment DVD (the kind hooked to your TV)?
or
2. A computer, either at your home or another persons?

Each is a different method.

#2 is the easy one. You simply record or "burn" the image/picture files to a DVD. That makes it essentially a data DVD and the image files on it are similar to "Word Docs". When you want to view them, you load the DVD on anyone's computer and double click the file you want to see.

Now, an interesting thing about this type of DVD is that some (very few) home entertainment DVD players will also play these DVD's. To know if yours will, you'd have to view your DVD manual for supported files or types.

Here's a link of how to copy the image files to this type of DVD:
http://download.cyberlink.com/ftpdload/user_guide/power2go/55/ENU/Power2GO_UG.pdf (you may have to log in to view it) Here it is below:

"Chapter 2: Burning

Burn a Data Disc
The Data Disc option allows you to burn data files to a CD-R/RW,
DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-RAM, or Blu-ray disc. Data files can
include images and any other document files. You can also create a
bootable CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disc, which you can use to boot your
computer from your CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disc drive if your operating
system ever fails.

Burn a Data Disc in Power2Go Express Mode
To burn a data disc in Power2Go Express mode, do this:
1. Open Windows Explorer, then locate the files you want to burn.
2. Drag the files to the Data icon.
• To modify your burning configuration, double-click the Data
icon. For more information, see Burn a Data Disc in
Power2Go Mode on p.32.
3. Click Rec on the Data icon. Power2Go burns the disc."

Now back to the top of this discussion. Option #1 is a bit more complicated. This method creates a DVD that can have menus and sometimes music. It's very much like the DVD's you rent and can be played back on just about all home entertainment DVD's and sometimes computers.

For that, again refer to the manual. Instead of making a data DVD, you'll be creating an "Authored" Video/Picture/Photo DVD:

"Burn a Video/Photo Disc
The Video/Photo Disc option allows you to burn movie files to CD/
DVD. You can also burn a slide show to disc or include a slide show
along with your movie.
Burn a Video/Photo Disc in Power2Go Express Mode
To burn a video/photo disc in Power2Go Express mode, do this:
1. Open Windows Explorer, then locate the files you want to burn.
Note: You can drag image files to burn a slide show, video files to
burn a video disc, or both image and video files to burn a disc
with both a video and a slide show.
2. Drag the files to the Video/Photo icon.
• To modify your burning configuration, double-click the
Video/Photo icon. For more information, see Burn a Video/
Photo Disc in Power2Go Mode on p.40.
Note: Slide shows created in Express mode have a default slide
duration of 3 seconds.
3. Click Rec on the Video/Photo icon. Power2Go burns the disc."

A lot of people also wonder what type of blank DVD to use. Well almost all the time the DVD -R standard seems to more compatible especially with older playback DVD machines.

What can I do if I lost my activation key?

Before contacting customer support, try to locate the activation key through the following steps:
If you have registered your products:

If you have registered the software, you can log in CyberLink Members Zone and select Manage My Products in the left menu, and then click Manage CD-Keys tab. You will see all the keys you have registered before.
If you haven't registered the products:

Retail or boxed versions: If you have a retail or boxed version, the CD sleeve/case should have an activation key sticker attached to it.
Online/Download version: If you have the online/download version, you can check your email inbox for your order confirmation e-mail. It provides you with the product key.
Bundled version: If you got your software free as a bundled version, the CD sleeve/case should have a sticker attached to it. If not, please contact the hardware supplier to get a new key.

If you still have no luck locating the activation key, you will have to register as a CyberLink Member and submit a technical support form to ask for a new key. You will need to attach a digital or scanned image (in .jpg format) of your installation disc as the proof of ownership of the original software copy.
Note: If you are reading this prior to having lost your key, then we strongly recommend that you register your software as this will keep your activation key safe and available if you ever need it. You can always find Online Registration shortcut in the CyberLink program folder of Windows Start menu.

The length if the music is just that....you can't "stretch it". So, you either have to find another longer piece of music or add more. If you question concerns "Power Director" then why are you posting in this forum?
What I did was to click on the "Members" icon (top of this page), then logged in. Next that brought up a window for the "Cyberlink Members Zone" and there is a blue "click here" link for the rewards. Mine was a "lite" version of 5.5
