When I say not to put too much in a single title, I mean not to put every bloody credit from the actor to the caterer in a single title.
Break them up a little. When editing it, try to keep the text for each title onscreen, don't run off. I say this because there was some anecdotal evidence of minor glitches if the titles were too excessive. This may no longer be the case.
Clunky? I'm not sure I understand that.
1. open Mystic project and render in 16:9

2. start new project

3. change aspect ratio to 4:3

4. render Mystic file into 4:3 frame

5. do not save

6. not sure if I closed PD or not.

7. later, open Mystic project, any files (jpegs)with Magic Motion, gone!

Make sure you are playing the entire movie in your timeline, not just the visual parts. Not sure how experienced you are, but thats a good place to start.
Any files in the main timeline default to the left.
You can work around this by just using the pip timeline.
or
Place a blank png file or colorboard in the main timeline (it will default to the left) and stretch it out to the point you wish to begin your actual video.
No, they must be converted to another format first. There are 3 free converters available on SMWoV.
I believe "Me, Myself,& Pi" has the same/similar issue.
I have also suffered this. Sometimes the clips will reduce to 1/4 the screen and the rest is green. In PD6! No solution yet. Workaround is isolate any jumpy clips and render them seperate.
Uploading to Youtube and SMW or most any site can be done in several formats, YT site has details, but avi, mpeg and wm will do.
Sites recode to flv for the viewer.
However, if you want a fast loading clear playing file, convert your video to flv on our own.
SMW has several programs to convert any file to flv.
As far as copyright material, ie music, goes...well, I use a bit of popular music, no one has ever pulled a video of mine, or contacted me with a stop order. It's really up to you.

You may be required to be a member, but it's in the EXTRAS link at the bottom of the SMW page.
But, KoyoteSoft.com has one, you can find it on any REPUTABLE freeware site such as CNET.
The point being that FLV is the last step in all my productions.
One last item, Youtube has an Uploader program that may allow much larger files, up to 1G, but I am unclear on the details.
I am guessing you need to do this for Youtube.
Make your file avi or mpeg, at HQ settings.
300 mb for 3 minutes seems a bit large, but try this...
Go to SeeMyWorld and download one of the three very good and very free converters and convert your finished file to Flash (FLV). Very easy!
Watch one of the tutorials, after you do this you will see that Flv allows much smaller file size, but the video quality is great.
Upload sites love Flv.
I did as told, and must now test it in a player, on a tv. I'm not near one right now, but it seemed ok in VLC player.
This is EXACTLY what I wanted to accomplish, hope it works.
thanks
I seem to be having an issue regarding the anti-shake function.
Not the 1st time, but just now asking.
When I apply it to a single clip, it sometimes wants to apply itself to other clips, and when it does, it's maxed out.
Nice steady shots of foreheads!
Remove anti-shake, from affected clips, go back and start over, same thing, different clips.
Odd, no?
Anyone else suffer this?
Who gives out the stars? Him?
Hey Jents,
Will this data disc you propose play in a dvd player?
My intention is to have a PD6 movie (2 chapters) which will play in a standalone dvd player, and also back-up the source photos.
I now think this is not possible.
D-Mon?
R-R-R-R-Robert?
Do I need new software?

I was trying to put the source photos of a project on the same disc as the project. I know it can be done, but when I tick the back-up photo, it doesn't ask me which photos. How do I choose the folder or pictures I want? I am opting for the slideshow as a backup, but it's not really what I wanted.
Welcome!,
just to let you know, in order to be better helped, you must let us know which version of PD you are using, capture format, a few things about your OS, and a more detailed description of your issue.
Bullet points are great.
Get back to us.
Dear Sir,
don't you sleep? Or do you check your mail in the middle of the night?
Put a blank file or color board in the upper timeline.
Put one of your videos in the pip under it.
Place it in the half you wish to display it in.
Render
Now place that new file in the upper timeline.
Place your other file in the pip. Size it.
This may take some practice.
Make any sense?
Robert, you want this one?
You can put projects in the timeline and place a chapter at each one.
However, to put projects together on one disc and access each one as a seperate movie, you need a disc authoring program.
