Hi. I am using Verbatim discs and have been advised that their is no copy right problem the disc is being played on a computer I use PowerDVD14. Because of PowerDVD.exe stopping I went to my and neighbor arranged to play the disc on his computer. The disc played. It seems as if there is a time constraint involved because PowerDVD.exe stops after a few minutes regardless of whether chapters from the beginning of the movie or subsequent chapters are being played. Basically I am trying to establish why PowerDVD.exe is stopping.

Dear Stevekthe store bought disc plays perfectly the back-up copy should play with PowerDVD but hangs. When I use Nero 2015 the copy plays perfectly but I prefer to use RowerDVD
rather than have to go to my neighbours.
When I try to play a copy of a Blu-ray discs it hangs and reverts to the PowerDVD14 home screen after a few minutes. Other Blu-ray players have no problem playing this disc. Where can I find the cause for this problem ?

I would like to have an update on the progress made in restoring the "resume play" function for Blu-ray discs, since Deadeye's post of 22 December 2013.
At the moment it appears that the client has no basis on which to believe the claims made by the manufacturer for its products.
I agree with all of the posters to this thread in particular deadeye. For the sake of completeness I wish to advise that with regard to my earlier thread I find that if I access PowerDvd 13 via WMC I am occasionally offered the options of Resume or Restart and when this happens the resume function works. For whatever reason using PowerDVD 13 on its own , the resume function is always greyed out.
The resume playback function is listed in the user guide and like the above two contributors I find this function does not work and although this issue was raised in July no response has been posted. Is there any point in using this forum
I am also disgruntled Cyberlink user now that they have included Cinavia into their software. No one can claim that Cinavia is in the user's interest but I would not give up on DVD12 just yet. Your rant does not indicate what steps you have taken to solve the problems you are having. I know that dirty discs out of date drivers and players can have drastic effect on disc replay. My system was approved by the BD advisor but proved incapable of playing on a consistent basis dual layer discs. I suggest you refer your problems to Cyberlink's technical support section.
I agree with you entirely Muzicman82. Cyberlink sold its members out when it allowed Cinavia to be installed on its products. As soon as a cinavia free player comes along I will be using it.
Hi
My system is similar to yours and I have experienced similar problems. These were resolved by cleaning the disc particularly if they are Blu-ray. ensuring the Relevant drivers are up to date. Also the disc player may not be capable of handling the latest Blu-ray discs; In my case the player was not capable of handling dual layer discs. trust this helps.
I am also a newbie but I had a similar problem and was told by Cyberlink to reduce my screen resolution to 1080 x 1920 the full high definition standard. That advice worked for me.
I am a newbie also; have you tried adusting the resolution settings to 1080 x1920
Paul I think Cyberlink sales support are obliged to resolve this problem for you.

I am constantly having problems installing Catalyst control suite updates and when I am able to successfully instalk them they knock out my PowerDVD12 capacity to replay Blu-ray discs. Do other members have this problem?
Hello PIX

I am in the same position as gulfracer. The upgrade offer was made September 2011 and my order number is 17190822224 dated 9/16/2011.

I hope this helps. I have contacted customer support about this issue.
