When I try to play a copy of a Blu-ray discs it hangs and reverts to the PowerDVD14 home screen after a few minutes. Other Blu-ray players have no problem playing this disc. Where can I find the cause for this problem ?

You post reads as if you are trying to play a COPY of a blu ray. Is that correct?

Do you have the same issue if you play an original store bought blu ray?

If you have a solution, why don't you use that? .

Dear Stevekthe store bought disc plays perfectly the back-up copy should play with PowerDVD but hangs. When I use Nero 2015 the copy plays perfectly but I prefer to use RowerDVD
rather than have to go to my neighbours.

Did you make the copies? Ignoring the copyright issues, are you usaing top quality discs? Store brands and memorex are not top quality.

I don't understand about the neighbors. My first guess is that the discs are marginal combined with your blu ray player perhaps not liking the discs. Have you checked to see if there are firmware updates for your blu ray drive ? .

Hi. I am using Verbatim discs and have been advised that their is no copy right problem the disc is being played on a computer I use PowerDVD14. Because of PowerDVD.exe stopping I went to my and neighbor arranged to play the disc on his computer. The disc played. It seems as if there is a time constraint involved because PowerDVD.exe stops after a few minutes regardless of whether chapters from the beginning of the movie or subsequent chapters are being played. Basically I am trying to establish why PowerDVD.exe is stopping.

Download the free VLC player to your computer from VideoLAN. It should play blu rays. If you have the same issue with that program, then you must look at your computer's blu ray optical drive.

VLC == http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ .
