Hi,

I'm running Cyberlink Power DVD 12, My PC is running Windows 7 64 bit, it has 16 gigs of memory, Intel Core i7-2600K@3.40GHz, AMD HD Radeon 6900 Series Video Card. I haven't been able to play movies on my PC with Cyberlink Power DVD for a long time. I've tried playing 1080p rips and Full Blu-ray Rips on my PC but the movies will not play, Cyberlink Power DVD remains open but the movie won't play. When I try playing a full blu-ray movie northing happens. Today I tried playing a 1080p rip on my PC and Cyberlink Power DVD closes with a message saying Stopped working. Now after a certain period of time of keeping Power DVD open it crashes with a message saying Stopped Working. I have no issues playing movies with VLC, Media Player Classic Home Cinema, KM Player or any other Media Player that I have installed on my PC.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi
My system is similar to yours and I have experienced similar problems. These were resolved by cleaning the disc particularly if they are Blu-ray. ensuring the Relevant drivers are up to date. Also the disc player may not be capable of handling the latest Blu-ray discs; In my case the player was not capable of handling dual layer discs. trust this helps.
