PowerDVD 12 - very bad performance

Hi, I recently upgraded from version 11 of PowerDVD ultra. With the 11 version I can play back everything without problems, but with the new 12 version I have many problems. The first one is that the video is choppy. The CPU goes 92% - 98%. The new instant seek feature that aims to make PowerDVD very responsive and help you find the scene you are looking for doesn't work at all. This applyes to all videos, even low quality youtube clips. Version 11 never consumes more then 50% CPU. I have Intel Pentium 4 E2140 dual-core processor 1,6 ghz and 2gb of RAM.

Hi,

sorry to hear about performance issues - can you please check your Task Manager and tell provide a snapshot with the High CPU load?

Please also check the Please read me thread

more questions:
- do you use Hardware acceleration [press the TT-HD button "the eye" to check]
- do you do streaming at the same time?
- is your library already fully created?

thanks

Hi,
I'am afraid that nobody will able to help without further info.
Suggest to contact the technical support as mentioned in the must have read thread.

I am constantly having problems installing Catalyst control suite updates and when I am able to successfully instalk them they knock out my PowerDVD12 capacity to replay Blu-ray discs. Do other members have this problem?
