I have just installed a new computer and thought that my projects would be a lot faster to edit but still the same as my other computer..also powerdirector keeps wanting to close the program on me . I am enclosing the information about my computer ..Can you tell me if i need to upgrade to a newer version of powerdirector.. Thanks Pam

I haven't been on the forum for a long time ..and wondering if anyone out there knows why when I export my project into another folder it all of a sudden gets to 88% and "Powerdirector has stopped working". My project is only 30 mins long and only contains images and no video..I have just updated my NVIDIA graphics card to version 295.73 and have 3022 patch..I am using Powerdirector 8...and never had any trouble exporting my projects before as i make many DVDs and always export my projects into other folders..I want to be able to bring this project up in future as it is a Family Tree DVD for my Family..Does anyone have any ideas why Powerdirector stops working when I export it????

Hi Everyone!!
I am making a project with the starting title coming in - then I want a cross to come over the top of the title - then a new title to come in over the top of the cross. I have gone into Pip Designer with a cross image, but when I bring it into PowerDirector it doesnt cover the title - I can see through the cross to the title. Does anyone know what I am talking about.......

This message comes up every time I delete or edit something in my project- It is really annoying. Then The program wants to close...

Hi Tony
I had a look at modifying the templates of 3D slideshows ( and I didn't know that you could). I get lost after "Here's where we swap the .PNG files" after I copy & pasted the 3D file to the desktop.
Can you explain this step by step to me - I don't quiet understand what you mean!!

Thank you for your help - Im so new to this that I had to ring my friend to explain to me what you had meant.
My PD 8 version is Powerdirector Ultra 8.00.3022
When I'm producing my project I produce it in a MPEG-2 file format with a Profile Name/Quality DVD HQ my project contains only images but in slideshows - this should fit onto a normal 4.7GB DVD .
I have also attached a screen shot of my project I had to ask my friend how to do this as well. This is all learning - and you guys are so smart. We would be lost without you all.. and we do appreciate your help!!!!.

Can anyone help me i've just finished creating my project in the timeline & it goes for 1 hr 16 min. Then went to produce it into a MPEG-2 file with a DVD HQ (only because when you take a look at the pink box) The remaining space says 3.9 GB so i thought that my project would fit onto a DVD without any problems. The timeline contains only images but I'v made them into slideshows . This project has taken me ages to complete & I don't want to have to edit as it contains very special photos.

Ive been looking everywhere for Powerdirector preference settings & cant seem to find where they are !
I'm sorry that i cant follow you im not very good at this. Im just still very upset ive been working on this project for a long time i get so far into the timeline like 1 hr 18mins & before it disappeared on me - said something about the memory not being enough - then it took the photos off of my titles - i thought something was strange then

Hi everyone ! Powerdirector has just deleted all of my work that i have spent weeks on -im just devestated & have been crying i even saved it whilst working on my project but is no longer there - where is the autosave folder located that you mentioned !
