Are you using PowerDVD standalone of are you using it through Windows Media Center?
The problem is with standalone Cinema mode. From Media Center it also brings up Cimema mode but the back button works fine there.
Well then I still think the solution to your problem is as I've stated. Create a profile for PowerDVD and it will actually prompt you if you want to download some online pre-configured ones. I chose not to, I chose to create a blank profile.
I created a profile for PowerDVD because the STOP button was not working with my remote. So after creating a profile for PowerDVD I only had to map the keyboard key 'S' to the stop button on my rmeote and wallah the stop button now works I didn't have to map any other keyboard keys to remote buttons because all other buttons work automatically for me. This means all other buttons work for me from the Default profile. I hope this helps.

I just purchased PowerDVD 15 Ultra this afternoon and have been trying it out this evening.
I just watched a film after ripping the ISO to the HDD to try it.
The issue I found is that once I quit PowerDVD it doesn't release the file properly and I can't delete it until I restart Windows!
If I attempt to delete it Windows informs me that the file cannot be deleted as it's still open in another program.
I came to the forum to see if anyone else had this issue and found your post.
Yes I've had this issue too. Report it to technical support if it's a big issue for you.

Are you using PowerDVD standalone of are you using it through Windows Media Center?
|

Yes it's still active.
I found the same thing recently when I got a new universal remote. Create a profile that has the Application Executable as "PowerDVD.exe" and you can customise to however you want.

I think I found I had to rip 3D discs to ISO files for PowerDVD 14 to work with them. But have you got the 3D option selected as there is no auto 3D disc detection with PowerDVD 14.

I can't find it documented anywhere but it appears this has been implemeted.
Attached are what I think is a new setting compared to PowerDVD 14 called "Play 3D Media in 3D".

Resume is working for me and there three options to choose from.
Always play movies form the beginning
Resume playback from the last scene
Prompt before playback resumes

Working here with an AMD Radeon 6450 based card.

Try this, assuming you can find these options. If you can't then it really seems like it's not installing into WMC properly.
1) Settings ---> Start Menu and Extras ---> Extras Library and tick the "Play Blu-rays Disc" option.
2) Close Windows MC.
3) Open Windows MC.
4) Settings ---> Start Menu and Extras ---> Start Menu and tick the "Cyberlink PowerDVD 15" option.

Maybe try uninstalling and installing PowerDVD 15 again and make sure that Windows MCE is not running and even recording at the time.

I don't understand, it integrated for me. I know because as soon as I saw it I turned it OFF

It is not a key or key combination and Power DVD doesn't have one that it will respond to as far as I know, it may very well have though.
From my memory, the keymapping software I use (LMRemote) sends an application command which is "16, 0, 0, 0" which means application abort. You will need key-mapping software to do this which intercepts a specific command from the IR remote, but then sends a different command such as "16, 0, 0, 0" to the application that has focus. I actually use a Logitech universal remote and have programmed in a button called "Close" which will terminate the application that has focus no matter what it is including PowerDVD.

Without going into too much detail I do it with key mapping software. My choice LM Remote Keymap: http://www.lmgestion.net/@en-us/4/22/60/article.asp

I don't think the latest version 14 works with NVIDIA cards with recent versions of the drivers. Think I've seen a few posts on here about it.

I've watched quite a few 3D blurays and have not noticed it yet but thanks for the information.
I have configured PDVD to decode audio and send it via PCM and I assume it's not doing any reclocking. THX-UltraIII you could look into a piece of software called Reclock but you may have to configure PDVD to decode Dolby and DTS audio internally like I do to make it work; I'm not sure but you could look into it.

I did not know you could type in hundredth of second though I bet you a kabillion dollars that no one can tell the difference between 0.1 and 0.15 seconds.
More likely you don't even own a kabillion dollars

I use the delay audio sync feature, very handy. You can actually type into the entry field and not just set it to increments of 0.1 seconds.
|
|
I ended up programming a button on my remote that closes whatever application is on screen (has focus).

Hi, all I can say that I have Windows 8.1 and the same ATI 6450 based video card and 3D works very well in PDVD. I'm using the latest non-beta drivers. I've never seen that error message that you're getting. I know this doesn't help but at least you know that hardware config can work.

Sorry what does "useless" mean?

Good one.
