Thanks guys.

Yes good tutorials.

Thanks for doing all that work for newbies like me.

Now to get my old head around them!
Oh that's no good! There are places that I have felt like that as well over the years.

I lived in Hendersonville for most of the time, also near Donelson..
Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I messed around with it last night and did that also resizing the preview screen to see all action at once.

The shoot is a concert with a main singer so I have front, left and right side views and need to cut quite quickly sometimes.

I have done it many times in other programs but new to PD.

I like PD so far with single tracks as it is quite quick in basic functions that i have only tried.

I have to now try and get my head around the trim and cut.

BTW - See you're in Tennessee. Live in Nashville for near 9 years in the 70s.. Loved it!
Hi,

I have a 3 camera shoot we did ages ago which I still need to edit.

Can this be done without drama in PD10?

I have a 2 monitor setup.

I noticed on a search that a 2009 post mentioned using Pip. I am new so not sure about Pip.

I have read virtually every Google search result to my multi cam editing but still not sure what is the best way to do this in PD10.

Most answers are for previous versions.

Has Cyberlink done anything in 10 to make multi editing easier?

Thanks

I use XP pro - plenty of power, memory and drive space.
PD 10 latest update
Source files are avi from a HD camera tapes.
Need result to be high quality altho HD not neceassry.
Hi guys,

Thank you for that. That is a good link and he explains it well. I will give it a go as soon as I get the chance.

I have taken a look at PD10 and it is as they say, extremely easy to use for a basic edit and I guess once one set it up correctly, it would give virtually everything one would want in a semi-pro way.

I like how it does multi trim and some of the fx.

I could not find however how to get or make a solid black clip.

I occasionally do 15 and 30 sec TV clips so need really good quality. They require the clips in H264.

I shoot with a sturdy and reliable old Panasonic 3CCD NV-GS400 to miniDV up to this point in 4:3.

At this turning pointing of technology I suppose soon I have to move to a HD cam and shoot in 16:9.

Is there any setting in PD which will give me the best quality from either direct capture form the tape or from a best quality avi file.

I just need to know the settings in PD are the best i\I can get.

I really hope that PD and I get along.

Thanks for the help..

BTW: PD has some very good video tutorials however many are for 8 and 9, would most of them still apply to 10?
Hi,

I had been using Media Studio Pro from it's first birth version 2 until its last, MSP Pro8, and I loved it!!

It was taken over by Corel and dumped so I went elsewhere yet still use MSP8 sometimes due to its simplicity and I know it so well.

I bought Magix and also Corel Video Plus and tried others.

I like what I read about PD10 however at times I need at least a 2 camera edit.

Can this do that? Maybe there is a work around for it.

Thanks

oz
