Produce your project and see if it effects it. Because it might just happen in preview.
I have noticed that in The tittle sets created by Cyberlink, there are animations that play with the tittle.
So i was wondering, is there any way to add your own animations into custom built tittles?

Thanks,
ClancM
I'm not sure what the problem is Kevin, hopefully one of the more experienced users can help out.
Best of luck!
I know you said PD9 is up to date, but are you sure you have the newest patch, build 2930

http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/support/powerdirector/patches_en_US.html
Director zone templates i downloaded used to, when i opened them up, show the "your template has been installed" pop up and it would be use able in PD.
But now they show the installed pop up, but don't show up in PD.
Does anyone know how i can solve this?
It works vary well with WE, i did a test with a plane audio, that was originally a one channel sound, and got a good left to right speaker effect.

Just select where you want the change to start and have one channel go from 100% volume to 0% using the fade effect. 0% being at the end.
And have the other do the opposite. 100% being at the end.

The attached file is the finished audio.
I agree with Carl, the transitions can often take a while to load. You could try updating to the newest version

(though im not sure if you can on the trial.)

i typed all his but when i clicked submit i noticed Carl had already replied.
Heres a link to PDToots channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/PDtoots

First start off by putting one clip in track 1 (the top track). Then put the second clip right below it in track 2.
Next set track 2's opacity down to aprox. 50%. So you can also see track 1.
This is done by selecting your clip in track 2, then clicking Modify on the bar above the tracks.
In the modify window, click on the middle tab and look on the left side bar to set opacity.

(More advanced option)
Or you can click on the clip and in the middle bar above the tracks click keyframe. Then select the Opacity bar on the left. Then just slide the slider to where you want an opacity change and change it with the left bar.

You can experiment with different opacity levels, use keyframes to change the opacity, or use a mask as well.

Good Luck!

You can click the + on the slider to increase it by one, but other than that it really depend on the original image. How distinct the background color is from the main image.
Three posibilities i think.

Make sure youre not playing music while you click preiview as some users have found it can cause PD to lag

And what type of PC are you using, my PD lags alot but its just because my computer is slow.

Also what are the quality of the clips you are using, lagging will almost always happen with HD files.

Best of Luck.
YES

I updated my driver, and burned the folder i had created using Power2Go and it WORKED!!!!

Thank you to all who helped

I can finally burn all those DVD's i owe people.

I will also try to burn all the way throw with PD and post my results, though i assume it will work.

EDIT: I was able to burn all the way through with PD as well, thank you again!
Quote: what brand of dvd burner are you using, some brands need bios updates to "understand" the encoded infomation on the "blank" dvd as to capacity and speed. My reasonably new "lite-on" dual-layer/lightscribe model needed two updates to recognize the newer 16x speeds. the "standards" are constantly changing... can't wait to get to blueray!

This might not be what you mean, but it says its a _NEC DVD+RW ND-3530A, clicking update in the properties box yeilds no results.

The folder on the LP option burnded fine, but when i went to use Power2Go i with these setting, i got this error message

And when i used ImgBurn i got these messages.

All this track reserving is making me go off the reservation.
*Rocket-Scientist*

Mine says 16x but that might not be what you mean.
I am burning a folder now on a LP setting, a burning speed of 8.0, and when its done i will try it with power2Go and imgburn.
Unfortunately i tried with a produced file but it still didn't work.

*Dafydd Bevan - SoftDeko*

When i clikcked the down arrow to lower recording speed it only gave me an option of 6.

But i will now try to use Power2Go with the above mention settings.

Thanks!
I had it set to Smart Fit but I've also tried Long Play with out success. Where could i find the burn speed the disc is rated for?
I will try to lower the speed or just do the folder. But if i use Imgburn would it still have the menu i had from PD?
Thanks!
I made a topic with this once before but i didnt get any results.
I am trying to burn a 1 and a hlaf hour movie to a dvd. I was using a DVD-R in a DVDRW drive. I checked make a folder, and burn 1 copy. And at 99% of the authorizing process it said "Track Reservation not complete."

This is a screen that might be helpfull.

Does anyone know whats causing this?

You are exactly right Barry!
Hearing all this talk of fast processors really makes me jealous. I run PD on a Windows XP 504mb of RAM, 2.53GHz of CPU 64 mb max graphics memory.
You could also do it this way:
Put the photos you want in the timeline, use magic wizard on them.

Then when that has been completed add in the video clips.

If you need more help, cyberlink has a online guidebook for PD 8 and 9

http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/support/powerdirector/userguide_en_US.html

just click download next to the powerdirector 8 option.
Heres a template i made that might be helpfull for a travel diary. The original image is from the Ship Travel style folder.

I got this error message when produceing a file with SS. Here is a link to the topic i created.
