When I start a project I first create a folder and then add the media I think I will use. Then I import all the media into the PD library in one step. As the days roll by I come up with new ideas and have to add more and more media to the project folder and then must import the new pictures, video, and audio into PD library. Sometimes I have over a hundred or more clips so it requires some hunting to find the new clips I want to import. Is there a way to have PD automatically add new media to the library that is added to a project folder? I am still using PD 11. Can this be done in PD 13?

Thanks

HT
Thanks ynotfish. Would I make a gradient fill in paint.net or in Pd?

HT
I attached two screen shots. One is using the default 2D title and the other the default 3D title. The drop down arrow is missing when making a 3D title.

HT
Hi Carl

Look at my screen shot. There dosen't seem to be a drop down arrow. Maybe it isn't available with 3D like titles.

Ht
I only see a setting for uniform colors. Where is the setting for 2 and 4 color gradient?

thanks

HT
Yes, if fact that is what I already did. thanks,

HT
Excellent idea. Thanks Barry

I applied a woodcut effect to a video clip. I want the video clip to have the full effect of woodcut for the first six seconds and then suddenly change to no effect. My plan was to create 3 keyframes. The first 2 would be the same so the woodcut effect would hold for 6 seconds. The third key frame would be placed about 1 sec after the 2nd key frame and have no effect so the video would change from woodcut to normal in one second. However, there dosen't seem to be an adjustment for the transparency of the effect. What I need to do is go from 100% woodcut effect to 0% over a period of one second. I tried a work around by splitting the clip where I want the woodcut effect to end and inserting a transition but it dosen't look good because there is too much movement in the video.

I am using pd 11 and posted on the forum for older versions of PD but have received no answers. Can pd13 do what I want?

HT
I want a wood cut effect to start at the beginning of a clip and stay the same for about 6 seconds. Then I want it to dissappear over a period of about 1 second. Normally to do this 3 keyframes would be used. I need a way to reduce the transparency of the effect from 100% to 0% from the 2nd to the 3rd Keyframe.

How do I do this? See attachment.

Ht
I am answering my own post. I figured out how to make a 3D like title. But I don't know how to make the extrusion color different from the letter face color. anyone know how to do that?

HT
Is it possible to produce a title in PD 11 like the one I have attached?

HT
Thanks a lot playsound. I was doing it the hard way using 3 tracks. That worked great.

One more question since were are on the topic of particle designer. How can I replace the stars that come with the program with a different style? I think I saw a tutorial a year or so ago on how to do that.

HT
Would this require 2 additional video tracks?

HT
I am using the star trails in particle desginer over a red background. I have unchecked all particles except for emtr_4 (the stars) and emtr_6 the sun. What I want is red, white, and blue starts emitting from the sun. I changed the star color to blue. How do I get stars of the other two colors I need. Can I duplicate the stars emtr_4 for the other two colors?

see screen shot.

thanks, HT
There are 4 settings in PD 11 to burn a standard definition DVD. Best quality, Standard quality, Long play, and smart fit. Does PD 13 have more options?

HT
Yes I ment the templates on the left. I just burned the disc and everything is OK. Thanks for your help.

Ht
Thanks for your reply. I do Have the DVD set to burn 4x3 but the menus are still 16x9. See Screen shots.

I just realized that the menus that are 16x9 on the left and then converted to 4x3 when the actual menu is selected.

HT
I generally burn discs with video that has a 16x9 ratio. I now have a project that is 4x3 ratio and it is set that way in the edit area. However, in the create disc section all the menus are 16x9. How do I get 4x3 menus?

thanks,

HT
Thanks for your efforts.

HT
I converted 2D images to 3D in pd11 and burned to a disc. When I watched the slide show on a TV wearing Red Cyan glasses the 3D effect was very good but the colors were washed out.

Is pd13 any better in converting 2D to 3D?

thanks,

HT
Thanks for you suggestions. You are correct, I am mixing stereo. I have one more question. If there is no voice recording and the audio is stereo background music should I mute the center channel to get better stereo separation?

thanks,

HT
