I deleted previous Cyberlink devices, not disabled. And left the latest installed Cyberlink devices alone.
Good luck.

Try turning off ALL video enhancements.
Well I just uninstalled PowerDVD and removed all Cyberlink folders and registry settings. I then re-installed and set up everything and noticed the flashing was still happening. I then removed all Cyberlink disc mounting devices in Device Manager (some might be hidden so select "Show hidden devices"). I then installed the latest patch (PowerDVD_15.0.2211.58_Patch_DVD150828-09.exe) and it now plays 3D ISOs perfectly.
Happy!

It's so odd how only certain ISOs are affected and it doesn't matter how many times I re-rip them.
Avengers 2, Prometheus, perfect every time, even streaming and with acceleration and enhancements. Mad Max Fury Road, black flashes no matter what I do, but reduced with above settings. Yet all play fine on the same system with TMT6.
Perhaps it's because different codecs are used for some movies compared to others.
I've noticed some flashes on Terminator Genysis recently but for me it occurs over the whole screen.

I may have seen something similar and it was fixed by turning off Hardware Acceleration for the video card in the PDVD video settings.
Well I guess the answer to your two questions in post 3 are No and YES.
Good luck, but I don't expect that to work.
Not trying to be rude, but have you read anywhere about PowerDVD supporting Bluetooth?
Yes, there is support for IR media remote control.

I am using a surface 3 pro with Intel HD 5000 gpu and since update to Windows 10 no longer detects my TV as HDMI 1.4 3D compatible. I have also tried the beta patch 1916 but same issue.
Have you tried forcing your TV as HDMI 1.4 3D compatible in the settings?
Under Windows 10 with the latest PDVD patch the issue of ISO file locking seems resolved for me.

I think if you right click with the mouse on the screen while video is playing then you'll be presented with a menu option to change tracks.
And I can confirm that Dolby TrueHD is being decoded as I tried a Bluray disc and under information it said "Audio: Dolby TrueHD 5.1". Although output is 16 bit and not 24 bit as under information it said "Output: LPCM 48KHz/16bits 2 Channels". I hope this helps.

Holy crap, I found a test file from https://www2.iis.fraunhofer.de/AAC/LFE-SBR.mp4 and LFE was not playing through PowerDVD direct or via the JRiver WDM driver. So all this time I've been missing out on LFE and not even knowing it, although I always questioned it in the back of my mind.
So I found the registry entry you mentioned, changed it from a 0 to a 1 and it works! Thank you very much sir.

Thanks for your info. I use two channel SPDIF as well as I only have a stereo setup. I would like to get hold of one of those surround sound speaker test programs that can be found on DVD/Blurays for testing.
I actually use JRiver's WDM driver sending decoded 5.1/7.1 PCM from PowerDVD to JRiver. I have JRiver configured to down-mix what it receives to stereo including the .1 LFE channel. The final stereo down-mix is then outputted via SPDIF to my external DAC.

A couple of things, how do you know it's using the core DD track rather than the TrueHD track?
Also I don't think PowerDVD does any LFE mixing when downmixing 5.1/6.1/7.1 tracks to stereo regardless of audio codec. I think the LFE (.1) channel is ignored. This could be verified with one of those surround sound test discs.

At least you now admit what you said is rubbish
Sorry I deny your claim, it's rubbish.

I've never used PDVD 15 to play any kind of Blu-ray (physical) discs as I leave this job to a standalone device connected to the TV, having nothing to do with the computer.
The only reason to use the 3D feature of PDVD 15 is for playing downloaded 3D files when the PC is connected to a 3D TV via HDMI.
Thus I strongly believe that any software supporting any kind of Blu-ray disc playback is simply nonsense!
Well the fact is PowerDVD can play Blu-ray discs including 3D ones and many use it for this including myself. Go and use your FREE programs if you think they're so good for your purpose

Some free Blu-ray 3D players (naturally having nothing to do with PowerDVD 15 quality) can be found at:
And let's just recap what you wrote before. Notice the bit that says "Blu-ray 3D players"
