Your "Key" is available in the "your Products" Section for you should you switch computers. It can only be used on one computer at any one time as a safeguard.

I'll be upgrading myself here soon.

ok thanks so keep the key safe thanks again
I'm going to get the power director 18 , it's probably handy to have but just one question,

I could be getting a new laptop in 6 months to a year, can this be opened on a different device in 6 months or are u tied down to the device u downloaded it too ?

What are the its?

Your original question (and title) asks to compare PowerDirector and photo editor. If you are only interested in editing photos, then your question should have asked about PhotoDirector vs PhotoEditor.

By the way, there is a separate forum for Photo Director. Perhaps you should ask there if you have more specific questions.

sorry steve i should have said i used photo director 18 the free version then realised when i edited it i could not download file to a usb key because of the file it saves itself in the format

It depends on what you want to do with the images.

Try the free trial version of Photo Director 11 (Here) If it is too much for you, stick with the Windows Photo Editor. Note the trial has the full version for 30 days then it reverts to the basic version.

i did try it but won't let me save it to a usb file I thought it would have
Photo editor does have some decent stuff and free

I'd appreciate ur thoughts thanks
Quote PowerDirector Ultra gives you a complete package of video editing tools. It alone is a pretty powerful package and it will likely provide everything you need.

Ultimate gives you a larger selection of effects, transitions and other content.

The bundles include tools for editing photos.

If you'd rather not purchase the program outright, you can lease it for a small monthly fee. The chief advantage here is that you get free upgrades whenever a new version is released. The disadvantage is that, when you stop the subscription, you can no longer use the program.

Those are the broadstrokes. This chart offers more details.
