Quote I am trying to start my first project with PowerDirector 14, after testing my purchase for a few months. I need to create a screen capture video, however, it will not launch from within PowerDirector (the software crashes) & when launched as a stand-alone, it requests I register PowerDirector first.

PowerDirector was registered on purchase, way back in March 2016!

If you logon to Cyberlink and go to My Account > My Products. Is your PD14 listed there? I just checked my install and I can open the screen recorder both as standalone and from ithin PD14.
Quote I purchased PD14 Ultimate yesterday because it was in my price range and though a year old, has everything I need. LITERALLY a day later, I get a notification from CyberLink that due to a "Flash Sale" I can purchase PD15 Ultimate for close to what I paid for 14. As I am obviously a new user, I'm wondering if this is a typical happening and has anyone had the same experience and sought any kind of solution? Thanks!

Was it all possible to order PD14? I can't find any link at the store.

Quote PD 14 (Can't try PD 15 as I don't have it (yet) )

CD 15

To reproduce:

  • Add a clip in PD.

  • Go to CD and make some CD edits.

  • Go back to PD, tools, Video Speed, Speed Adjustment, Selected Range, create time shift.

  • Make an edit with time shift, apply Ease in, Ease out.

  • Not sure if this part is necessary, render.

  • Go in to CD and make another edit.

  • Go back to PD

Expected:

The clip is running from start to end.

Actual result:

The clip is running from end to start (reversed)

And if trying to apply Reverse it get trashed due to the Ease in, Ease out.

Thanks.

Are you sure that you haven't ticked "reverse video" in PD power tools?

Very sure as I tried to tick the "reverse video" to see if it could be used as a workaround. It did go in the right direction with reversed video ticked but it is messing up the video with ease in - ease out I also tried something else, I did uncheck the "video speed checkbox, then into CD and then back and the video was fine.

Thanks

Ok. I did a test and it appears completing the video is way much faster adding the clips already finished so it might be the clips are just added in the finished video and not rendered again. I think this will work out for me too. Thanks!
Ok. So you actually render the clips one by one? And when done you will compile them in a single project? My concern is that I will render a clip twice and will that not impact the video quiality?

I can't stop thinking of those days when we copied over music from one casette tape to another. and in the end the quality was awaful, but we had a copy :

Thanks!
I have the following scenario. I will have a set of clips which in the end will become a complete video. Now, those clips will be recorded during a period of time. And I would like to work with the already available ones, one by one and finish them up. In the end I will put them all together for a complete video It can't be correct creating a project of each and every one? I would like to save them without rendering. And then put them all together when finalizing the project. Thanks!
Thanks!

I purchased ColorDirector 5 and were finally able to check out the 4K capabilities. I think I start get the hang of it. I record in D-Log format meaning the post prod becomes an important part of the production. (No, I'm not professional just a guy who thinks this is fun!). A very, very useful feature of CD is the ability to use LUT's. I haven't used it in this test clip but rather had a look at some sample clips and tried to re-invent. As this took quiet some time I will purchase some LUT's. This is my result:

I can confirm they play together after trying it out, thanks!
Thanks!

Installed the trial version yesterday and unfortunately it did not import 4k material due to the trial restriction. I then saved a 4k clip in lower resolution and had a go. Seems to do what I want to do, and it did it easy with a LOT for my specific purpose (D-Log videos recorded from a Phantom 3 Pro) So I will probably make a purchase. Are there any tutorials similar to the ones PD University produces and make available on YouTube? I could not find anything similar. I need a "fundamentals startup tutorial" kind of. Preferably in conjunction with PowerDirector.

The trial product has the following limitations:

30-day trial versionImporting and producing H.264 video files is only supported on Windows 10/8.1/8/7 or hardware platforms offering independent H.264 encodingDoes not support 2K/4Kresolution H.264 videoImporting and producing H.265 video files is not available

Does that mean I can't import 4k material or does it mean I just can't export in 4k? If I can't import...Is there a way to rty it out anyway as I do only have 4k material that would be interesting for me to try out.

Thanks!
Can I use ColorDirector 5 and PowerDirector 14 Ultimate together?

Thanks!
