Just bought 14 Ultimate, now told I could buy 15 Ultimate for close to same price
[Post New]
I purchased PD14 Ultimate yesterday because it was in my price range and though a year old, has everything I need. LITERALLY a day later, I get a notification from CyberLink that due to a "Flash Sale" I can purchase PD15 Ultimate for close to what I paid for 14. As I am obviously a new user, I'm wondering if this is a typical happening and has anyone had the same experience and sought any kind of solution? Thanks! My will....is not my own!

Was it all possible to order PD14? I can't find any link at the store.

You're asking me, after I said I purchased it yesterday, if it's at all possible to order it? That's helpful.

Where did you see PowerDirector 15 for the price you paid ($76). Did you compare the add-ons?

Cyberlink has a 30 day $$ back warranty. .

Hi Steve. Thank you for your response.

When I opened PD14 the first thing that popped up was an update/upgrade msg that linked to this page:

http://www.cyberlink.com/stat/edms/bb/pdr/15/A/10-25p_g/can/up_ultimate_index.jsp

Of course, it gives me until tomorrow to purchase this upgrade.

I don't understand the thinking. Why would I pay a total of $150 for 15 if I could have bought it for half that today? Why not give me the option when I bought 14 to get 15 at that price. Anyways, I've emailed them for an explanation but I thought since this community seems very active and helpful that I would see if anyone's had experience with this.

I'm not sure how to go about getting a refund or if it would even be possible since the product has been installed and registered.

Thanks again for any insight you may have My will....is not my own!

Ahhh ! That is the upgrade price. In other words $75 MORE than what you paid for 14.

Do you/did you have a qualitying older version other than PDirector 14? .

I think what you're missing is that they are offering you an upgrade, not a new purchase. You could only get the PD15 upgrade if you already owned PD11-14, which you presumably didn't. If you hadn't bought PD14, they wouldn't be offering you the upgrade.
