I discovered this tonight....

PLEASE NOTE : For users of NVIDIA cards who have updated to graphics driver 340.43 or later, the video hardware acceleration feature in PowerDirector is no longer available. To re-enable hardware acceleration, please download and install an earlier driver.

PD12 : http://bit.ly/1wMQCyU
PD13 : http://bit.ly/1wMQHTc

Quote: Question - Does Powerdirector 13 support the alpha-channel when editing and when exporting?

I tried this function just yesterday and the answer is yes, it works well.
Quote: I upload h.264 Mp4 bitrate of 8000 for 1080P.

I upload h.264 Mp4 bitrate of 6000 for 1080P and it is already too high for youtube.
Upload to youtube video with very high bitrate does not make sense. When you upload your videos on youtube are reworked to guarantee a good streaming, this process reduces enormously the video bitrate.
Who has uploaded with high bitrate try this : download a your video with http://keepvid.com/ and then check the bitrate.
Quote: Couldn't agree more, however Freesound altered their API so often for security, Cyberlink felt the need to drop them.

I did not know this, thanks for the information
Quote: You can still go to Freesound and log-in there, it's a great site.

Sure, it's a great site.
I saw that a function is missing on PD13 : It lacks the function to import audio files from freesound.org on PD.
It was a very useful function.
Quote: I'll have to do some further investigation into how that can advantage colour grading in CDR. It's a little beyond me at the moment
PIX

On a forum I was told that this procedure does not bring any advantage. I've probably wasted your time
Sorry!
PIX thanks for the welcome and for your reply.

I'm no expert so I must have misunderstood this phrase:

" If your camera doesn’t shoot log, or you have existing footage not in log, I have an input LUT that converts video gamma footage into log. [...] Here is the input LUT to convert video gamma into log. I haven’t had a chance to test it further so feedback welcome. Apply it to the footage by selecting it as the 3D Input Lookup Table. Or on the first node of the grade. "

I know that the raw files are not processed (I use them in photography) but reading that sentence I realized it was possible to get a fake raw video.
It seemed strange, but I hoped
Quote: Thank you. It makes sense.

With this procedure I have no problems, I hope you too
It was necessary to uninstall PD12 before installing PD13. In the past I've made the same mistake.
I solved by removing the new version, using CyberLink Cleaner Tool, remove all the folders remain on the hard disk and cleaning the registry with CCleaner.
Then I installed the new version directly.
I know that for optimal color grading are necessary real raw files but I would understand if this procedure may be useful for something.

I use a handycam which does not generate raw files but ColorDirector supports the LUT file.
I found a file LUT that "converts" any video in a RAW video.

Link : http://juanmelara.com.au/print-film-emulation-luts-for-download/
LUT : http://juanmelara.com.au/downloads/video2log_lut.zip

I tried to use it with one of my video and the result is in the picture.

I know the video is not a real raw video but It is useful to apply this LUT before doing the color grading?
