Hi, it's too long to install. There must be something wrong. You can check the FAQ at http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/support/answerbox_productfaq.jsp?FID=4520&nProdId=6&ProdVerId=190&nCateId=4 to completely uninstall PD and re-install.

And if you really want to replace the background image of the slideshow, you can find the original one at C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector\CellSlideShow\8Stacks\woodbg720x540.JPG. Just replace it with the same file name, format and size.

PD should import VOB files on a file-basis. Unless you use scene detection feature or one VOB file will be imported as one clip in the PD's library.

The preview quality can be changed by clicking the Preview Produced Movie buttons below the preview window. You can set it to high quality if your CPU is powerful to do that. The preview quality might be different after it is produced to a file or burn to DVD. Remember to set a good quality profile while you produce the movies.
