Yes they are two separate clips, that's how PD/AD interface works, a video and the audio clip. You can select both and link them but then you lose lots of editing features. When the two clips, you can select the video and define keypoints as desired, or select the audio, and define keypoints there as well.

Jeff

Thank you Jeff. Appreciate the prompt reply.
I used Audio Director to reduce fan noise (it did a great job), but when it went back to Power Director, I could no longer set key frames to move the video to create some movement in an interview. Also, the clips come back into Power Director as 2 separate files, video and audio and the option to connect them is grayed out, as well as the ability to edit alias. I guess you should get your clips trimmed and do whatever else you want and THEN fix the audio?
Quote I am running PDR365 Business 21.0.2031 and my Boris FX asked me to install which I did and they appear to be all working.

Keith

Keith,

I got the prompt to install Boris FX when I tried to take the effect off my clips. I did so, and now working well.

Thanks for the tip.

Hi,
Does this message occur only after producing, or is something present in preview?

Does it happen with all Boris FX effects or just one or more - please give all the detail you can?

Cheers

Hello PD Moderator

I did have a Boris FX on some of the clips. I took them out, and then a popup prompted me to install Boris FX and I no longer get the message. I haven't had to do that in the past when updating PD. But all appears to be fine now.

Thank you,

Hello PD Moderator

I am running PD 365 v 21.0.2113.0

Attached is a screenshot of what appears at the top of my video after I produced it.

I'm not sure how to tell which effect is Boris FX. I did apply an old film style effect on the source video I used for the video. Is that Boris?

I've attached the video

Hi,

Can you specify your exact PDR version and also more detail of the Boris FX effects that result in the trial message?

I am running PDR365 Business 21.0.2031 and all my Boris FX seem to be OK.

Cheers

Hello PD Moderator

I just updated PowerDirector 365. Now when I produce a video I get text on the tope that says Boris FX is in trial mode. To purchase, call 800 xxx-xxxx or visit their website.

How do I fix this?
Quote Based on the symptoms it's possible that there are some issues with Windows or possibly with your user account. First, try the two commands as described in this post and see if that changes anything.

If not, you may want to try to repair your current Windows user account as described here. In most cases that will actually mean creating a new user account and copying the existing account details to the new one.

Please let us know if any of them resolve your issues.

The 2nd link you provided didn't work.

I followed the 2 commands in the first post. It took me a while to log in as administrator. I haven't done that before and now have to set up many things all over again.

I'm still stuck at 99% on the Content Pack Essential.

Can you resend the link for repairing the current Windows user account?

I do not know how to uninstall the patch. Can you send me to a page that explains how to do that?

Thank you very much.
Quote My suggestion would be that you completely uninstall PD20 using the Windows installation screen. Just to be sure that it has completely gone, You can check the program files / cyberlink to check whether pd20 folder is not there anymore.
Then just to be safe, do a restart and then using the application manager, run install again.

Thank you for your suggestion. I'd thought about it, but wondered if there were a different option. I've followed your directions, and Powerdirector has downloaded appropriately.

HOWEVER, I'm adding the Content Pack Essentials and I now have the first one stuck at 99%. This is new. Again, no issues with internet connectivity.

Now what do I do?

Thank you,
Cathy McK
I have been unable to complete update dated 4/29/2022. I download it and it hangs up at 99%.

I have updated the other components of director suite successfully.
The internet is operating as it should

I searched the forums and didn't come up with anything that I thought would help.

Thank you,
Cathy McKeever
