It worked fine for PD 13.
Is it possible to downgrade to PD 13? I already deleted 13 thinking it was causing the problem.
Its a nice laptop with I7, 16 gig of ram and a nice video card.
Curious if Windows 10 upgrade would help this video dilemma?
Looking for a way to switch from integrated Intel graphics to my GTX 860 M graphics. PD 14 website said go back before 340.43 driver which can't run on my laptop.

Then tech support at Cyberlink said reload the latest driver, 368.22. This latest driver will not allow me to get away from Intel graphics?

So what to do???
Does "produce" mean the same thing as "render"? Trying to get all the definitions straight, lol.
I am assuming that a produced section is the same as an entire movie?
Is it possible to edit a post production video the same as any other clip before any editing or rendering?
Thank you Nina

That was very helpful. I had not made the comparison with tracks being the same as layers. Also the layer cake with the flavors, textures, and colors all blended for a different look and flavor than the individual ingredients would have.

Thanks again,
Greg

It is starting to make sense, I just have not found any tutorials or places in the manual that speak to this timeline arrangement specifically.

Thanks again,
Greg
OK, it makes sense the Title track would overlay all other tracks.
Would higher number video tracks take precedence over lower number video tracks and the same with higher number audio tracks as well? With the main Title track being top dog over everything?
Just trying to understand why there are 99 tacks available and how they can all be used?

Sorry to be so picky on this,
Greg
As far as I've seen so far that the higher number timelines take precedence over the lower numbers? Has that been true in your experience?
What are the main reasons for using multiple video and audio tracks?
Why not load everything to just one track?
I've been looking for a tutorial that explains this if anyone has a link to it, please share.

Thank you,
Greg
Once again, much Thanks to all for lots of info and support.

I am just trying to market a new product for my business and make some Do It Yourself videos. My focus is marketing, and education not selling video.
Not sure how that fits in?
Thanks again for all the info from everyone. Please forgive me for being naive, I just did not realize there are so many moving parts to this minefield to complete a video.
I truly thought once I bought the software and paid for or created some music along with the clips that I shoot, it would be clear sailing after that.

Silly me
Thanks for all the info and links.
I was wondering more about the Power Director software itself? If I can use PD for professional use?
Does that mean there is a commercial version of PD that has all the licenses to become a video billionaire? LOL
What about using the PD 13 software for commercial use when I am using all my own content?
Cannot imagine that a paid copy of PD 13 could not be used for commercial purposes?

Wow, just downloaded a new driver for my Nvidia GTX 860 so PD13 would use GPU and it is amazing how much faster it runs over the HD-4600 integrated graphics.
I have a laptop with quad core I-7 and 16 Gb ram. Probably ho-hum for most people here but I guess I'm just a newbie who is easily impressed right now.
But thanks to everyone, because this and the GoPro fanatics forum has helped my learning process immensely over just reading the manuals.
I have an Asus laptop with a GTX860 that PD13 does not use. It is using the Intel HD 4600 video. So far it works fine.

I have tried to change the default video to Nvidia card, but so far no luck. When I set the default to GTX 860 for GP studio the video quit completely.
I am interested to see if there is a way for PD13 to use Nvidia card? I will stay tuned to see if someone has a solution?

Thanks Greg
