In case anyone else encounters this issue, here's what fixed it for me:

Follow the steps given below to resolve your issue.

(1). Please make sure that you are logged-in as an administrator.

(2). Increase Virtual memory:

a. Right click on "MyComputer"
b. Select Properties -> Advance.
c. Click on "settings” under Performance.
d. Select "Advance".
e. Click on "change" under Virtual memory.
f. Select "Custom" and enter initial value as "512" and Max value as "1024".

NOTE: If your existing settings are higher than recommended then leave them as before.

(3). Please update your VGA/Sound card driver. You may contact your VGA card manufacturer or the computer manufacturer to get the latest drivers.

(4). Make sure where you have installed PowerDirector software there is sufficient hard disk space, for eg. upto 20GB.

(5) Please Start Windows in Selective Startup mode.

1. Click on Start.
2. Click on Run.
3. Type msconfig and click on OK.
4. A System Configuration Utility window will come up.

Restart the system for the change to take effect.

(7) Go to Edit → Preferences → Hardware acceleration ; Make sure both the options are unchecked.

Try to produce and let me know the status.
Does anyone know why my video is frozen on one frame when I render?
I'm using PD12 (I'm a new user).

I am having an issue with .M2TS raw footage taken from my SonyHD Camcorder. It runs okay during edit - I can see it fine during edit - but on final production/output it's frozen on the first frame. I downloaded DiVX (software/codecs), I tried several output variations such as .AVI, .MPEG4 and H.264 AVC, but it's just frozen on the first frame. I downloaded the latest PD12 fixes. I double-checked Interlacing settings.

Audio is fine.

I have attached the two diag files and a screenshot of the frozen frame. I am hoping someone has a fix.

Update 11/14/13 - I re-saved the video, removed the native .M2TS video and re-added it (thus removing 40+ hours of my editing work), but I did it as a test. And it rendered fine with no issues. I am trying to avoid having to re-do a week's worth of editing work so if someone has an answer as to how I can make this master video render that would be great. Also, I am operating from a fresh, clean new install.

Thanks,
Angelaaaaa

I began a project last week in DirectorSuite 2 that is a very long and detailed project. Before I started my project, I had edited video to increase volume and used AudioDirector to do it. It was a trial version and I wanted to try out the AudioDirector.

So, after using PowerDirector12 for a few days I decided to buy it. I didn't need the AudioDirector so I didn't buy the entire suite. I only needed the PowerDirector 12. I uninstalled DirectorSuite 2 before I installed PowerDirector 12.

But now, NONE of my audio is working! HELP!

I uninstalled and reinstalled SmartSound and it still doesn't work.

All of these audio clips are from the same large video but they have been split over the course of a 45 minute video. There are about 2 dozen smaller audio clips that match up to the video.
