PD10 Render Video Frozen on First Frame

Hi. I've been using PowerDirector 10 for abouth three weeks (graduated from Windows MovieMaker) and need it every day. I have Windows 7, input MP4 720p or 1080p into PD10 for WMV output. Rendered video is frozen on the first frame but audio is fine. Is there a very simple solution to this or if not, just abandon PD10? I do not know what a diagnostic file is. Thank you for any advice.

sorry to say, this appears to be a PD10 bug, I have similar issues part way through encodes, vision freezes, audio continues on.

very odd that this has not been fixed before now

Hate to rain on you guy's party, no "bug"...... I have never had a problem with 720/1080p mp4 input to 720/1080p wmv output... just did another quick mp4 1080p video rendered to 1080p wmv...to see what the fuss was and still had no problem...

Hi DavidG,
Welcome to the forum.

Here's the link to the Diagnostic file instructions, Part B

If you can provide a snapshot of your Edit Workspace as well please that would be most useful?

I'm using PD12.

I am having the same issue with my video. It runs okay during the edit but on final output it's frozen. I tried several output variations, but it's just frozen on the first frame. Audio is fine.

I have attached the two diag files and a screenshot of the frozen frame. Please let me know what to do.

Thanks,
Angela
