Not sure I get the question, PD13 and PD15 both support 1080p as the best for a BD burn. PD13 pic attached.
Jeff
I'll have to retry. I couldn't get it to burn the .264 and always went MPEG4.

I currently have PD-13 and the best quality offered for burning BluRay is 1080i. Can a PD-15 owner tell me if it now allows 1080p or better?
As long as I'm asking..................does PD-15 block the use of GeForce Experience?
I just started using a UHD camcorder, up from a 1080i. Any comments on PD-15 and editing/producing 3840 X 2160 or true 4k?
Thanks!

just received a mail from CL proposing an interesting update to Director Suite 5 for the full package. In addition we can use the "member10" coupon for 10% rebate when you have subscribed to CL.
an overall great price for 142 E...
but I just saw too on the forum that the PD15 perf on the timeline are not good...
So will wait for more information on that, and if needed, to be fixed by the new release.
Being that Powerdirector 15 was just released on September 13, 2016, I think it is too early to really know the new version.
Powerdirector is a very high learning curve, New versions have to be relearned.
In the past, up through PD13, it has not been a high learning curve, certainly no need to 'relearn'??!! Much more powerful, but Adobe Premiere Pro CC has a tough learning curve.

I'm trying to decide if I should go to Premiere Pro or upgrade to PD14 (now PD15) for motion tracking. Am I reading this right............the speed of the video is faster during Motion Tracking than normal speed? Why in the world?
Anyone out there highlighting football or soccer successfully? Saving time over keyframing?
I have been using the ol Keyframing....slow painful for use in football highlight videos. Was hoping motion tracking would speed things up a lot. PPro doesn't track players on football field very well at all when zoomed back and both teams visible. Guess the future will do better with AI needed to see what we can easily see in videos.

I have 2 x GTX970's and I game, record gaming, photoshop, and edit video. Tired of the Cyberlink weaknesses like incompatibility with GeoForce experience. Finally time to say good bye to the simplicity of Power Director and go back to Premiere Pro.

I have two GTX 970s NOT IN SLI
Updated PD13 patch today, Updated nVidia driver today 355.60
I can produce files for YOUTUBE uploading MP4 or WMF
Still will not produce an AVCHD disk, crashes to desktop.
Burning an MPEG2 1920 60i BLURAY without problems.
After using PD for years, making SD and AVCHD DVDs, fairly disheartening.

|
Yes, have two 970's in SLI.
|
|
My i7 4770 16GB Ram and twin GTX 970's will not render a H.264 BluRay. It will render an MPEG2 BluRay.
Will the inclusion of old dlls help me?

Thank you tomasc!

Found this:
PLEASE NOTE: For users of NVIDIA cards who have updated to graphics driver 340.43 or later, the video hardware acceleration feature in PowerDirector is no longer available. To re-enable hardware acceleration, please download and install an earlier driver.
My pair of 970's use a driver in the 353 range.
Come on PowerDirector, time to update!!

Took the files produced by PowerDirector 13 and used ImgBurn and got the SAME results. So files produced yield a black video image.
Tried a BluRay MPEG2 at 24 fps in PowerDirector and this WORKED! But the action footage recorded at 60i is too choppy/not smooth. MPEG2 at 60i worked well so that's my answer for now.
Sure would like to know why H.264 fails, especially if it might look even better.

|
Not sure what I've changed. Always been able to burn SD and AVCHD without any issues. Last AVCHD produced a DVD that would start, show all chapters and chapter pictures. But when you hit play from start or any chapter, audio plays with a black screen??
Burned with H.264 at 1920 x 1080 60i as I always have.
The standard def DVD plays just fine.
Tried it with BluRay and get same results, audio with black screen.
What did I do?? Driving me crazy.

I don't understand your last sentence. The produced mp4 won't even play on the PD13 timeline correctly. There is something happening during production that yields a bad mp4.
|
|
Suddenly can't seem to render usable MP4s?? I take previously made PD videos, trim to shorter length, and produce new MP4. Tried multiple settings, qualities of 264 and 265 versions. New video runs for a sec or two, some color variation is seen in new video, large block pixelation, then video freezes, sound continues. Same if I run with PD13 or third party video players.
What's happening? Never encountered before.

At the very top of the video portion of a clip, while on timeline, there is a horizontal line. If you left click and pull down it reduces or fades the scene to the BLACK.
Somehow I must have done this when I grabbed several clips to place on a different timeline. My mouse has developed some issues with the right button, sticking, releasing early, etc
|
|
GOT IT. Somehow I must have selected a number of clips and grabbed the 'output' bar and pulled them down, thereby darkening the entire clip. Whew, glad it was easy in the end.
|
|
I've edited with PD 9-10-11-12 and now 13. For the first time I've done something to effect the darkness of about half my video clips. I was just sorting the order of clips of high school football footage. If I remove from timeline and bring back they are ok. Trouble is each one has been trimmed so if I remove and bring back, must trim again.
Any ideas of what I could have done??

Thanks guys. I'll clear some space.

13 Essential is 4.43 GB while 12 Essential is 2.84 GB
13 Premium is 466 MB while 12 Premium is 2.22 GB
Appears to be much more premium in 12 vice 13. Keep old premium and delete old essential??

Thanks Carl! I thought that might be the only way.

What's the best way to uninstall a patch? This latest version released 24OCT13 greatly reduces speed uploading and going between Editing and Create Disk, etc.
Windows 7 version.
