More keyboard shortcuts to "nudge" elements and tracks for alignment would be a productivity improvement.
Quote: 2. Ok I always have to re-sync my mic audio which is attached to my webcam video which is a small part of the main gameplay video, what would be awesome would be when you unlink the audio and video and then I drag the audio timeline to the left to sync up my voice and mouth that when I start dragging the audio clip a balloon tip pops up and tells me how much I am dragging the audio in frames, this balloon tip could work for any item on the timeline, it would be a very powerful workflow tool.

The ability to sync a second audio source with the video track audio is a good idea. I use a clip-on mic to record speakers to a group so I can get better sound. I've tried the multi-camera function, but it's not very accurate. Usually end up just nudging the audio track manually to line it up with video track. An automatic alignment that works and includes stretch/compress if necessary would be a great productivity booster.

Cyberlink tends to favor "new features" over "productivity improvements" to sell us a new version. I would happily upgrade to a new version that had NO new features but included all the productivity improvements posted here.
- I would like more straightforward toggling between interfaces or rooms (the "pip" mode keeps coming back) : you're never so sure you're in the right section for a goal you want to achieve, an all-inclusive menu, in fact, more clearly labeled.

Improving the interface is a great productivity improvement suggestion! Something along the lines of context sensitive menus that are in other editors. This would also allow custom hot-keys to be easily created.

There are too many mouse movements and clicks involved in the current interface. Reducing these improves productivity, but may affect learning curve. There needs to be a balance.
Most of these suggested productivity improvements have been submitted via the support ticket facility over the last few years, but I'll post them here also in hopes that they will be implemented in the next version.

+ Magic Motion Designer -- ability to select full image.

+ Title Designer -- ability to "center" both V and H.

+ Ability to apply Audio Mixing Room changes to multiple selected clips.

+ Ability to apply Transition Room effects to multiple selected clips.

+ User created hot-keys (that are remembered from version to version).

+ Fix/Enhance more than one clip at a time.

+ Wave Editor -- compressor/limiter function.

+ Wave Editor -- noise floor function.

+ Wave Editor -- integrated into PowerDirector.

Thanks!
Quote: The Wave Editor functions you seek can be found in free VST installations.

Yes, I am using VST's to improve Audio Editor functionality. But this puts the onus on the end user to invent their own solution. Also, only a subset of VSTs will work with the editor, and PD tends to "forget" your VSTs when upgrading product versions. I'd really like to see these basic editing functions built into the software (and the audio editing not a separate standalone program).
Quote: Hi PDuser97031B -

There's a dedicated thread for suggestions at http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/40351.page

Cheers - Tony

Yes, I am aware of that thread. In the past I have submitted all of these improvements via the official CL "create a ticket" facility and was just wondering if any were implemented. Does the dedicated thread get better response than opening a ticket (which emulates a black hole)? If so I will copy these there.

Does anyone know if any of the following requested productivity improvements have been implemented in PD13? To me these are more important than new features, as they reduce man hours on a project.

+ Magic Motion Designer -- ability to select full image.

+ Title Designer -- ability to "center" both V and H.

+ Tile Designer -- ability to Ctrl+A select-all that works without having to move cursor outside of the Title Designer window.

+ Ability to apply Audio Mixing Room changes to multiple selected clips.

+ Ability to apply Transition Room effects to selected clips.

+ User created hot-keys (that are remembered from version to version).

+ Fix/Enhance more than one clip at a time.

+ Wave Editor -- compressor/limiter function.

+ Wave Editor -- noise floor function.

Thanks!
So if I understand correctly, the text in the edit box is selected, but it doesn't indicate the text is selected? After doing a Ctrl-A if press Delete the text will be deleted?
I've been using PD since version 8, and in none of them will Ctrl-A (select all) work in the Title Designer with the cursor in a block of text. Is a fix on the horizon? Is there a work-around? Thanks!
There are several places were "fitting to frame" is tedious. I guess for now disabling "snap to" is the best option. Thanks!
I'll check out the keyboard shortcuts. Thanks!
Good work-around. Thanks!
In the Title Designer is there a way to center text both vertically and horizontally at the same time. It would save time if could center "both" at once. Thanks!
